This great house is located just off Route 100 and just outside the small town of Wardsboro. Stop at the well stocked General Store for virtually all your necessities including DVD Rentals. The House is perched on the side of Stacey Mountain with great views and sunsets especially from the 6+ person outdoor hot tub. Its covered so you have clear, covered access in the snow. Take the back roads from Mount Snow or Stratton and avoid all the traffic! Its less than 15 minutes to Mount Snow and about 25 to Stratton. Okemo and Bromley aren't too far either. The property is over 10 acres for hiking, snowshoeing and tranquility! We have direct access to to the V.A.S.T. snowmobile trail system to bring along your sleds!

This outstanding property is just on the border of Wardsboro and Jamaica Vermont. Just outside the very small village of Wardsboro... you are able to see the church steeple in the view at the bottom of the valley. Very quiet except for an occasional echo of a dog barking in the valley and the river rushing by.

The location is very convenient between to major ski resorts Mount Snow, Stratton and Bromley as well as two lakes, parks and recreation areas. Townsend Lake and recreation area, Jamaica State Park and Grout Pond and of course the entire Green Mountain National Forest.

Hiking trails on the property as well as directly connected to the extensive VAST trail system. Enjoy a private trail to the summit of Stacey Mountain with views of Stratton Mountain.

Other Activities: Snowmobiling and Hiking on Vermont maintained trails right from the property

Boasts 2 skylights above bed for stars and sky views, 2 other large windows and a huge closet. Dresser and nightstands and mirror. Two up stairs bedrooms have two double beds each (Total of 4 double Sealy Hotel Premium Mattress in two large bedrooms) with Full Bathroom upstairs. Lower level has 9 x 14 bedroom area with two bunk beds. There is also a double bed pull-out sofa on the lower level.

Even Better Than We Expected

This is the PERFECT rental home for any group either large or small. It is MUCH larger than it appears in the pictures.
The house is located just a quick drive from both Mount Snow and Stratton. It is extremely clean. It has satellite TV, DVD players, a great sound system, board games, a patio, a barbecue grill, a great gas fireplace, a hot tub, a pool table and is WIRELESS, what more could you ask for?
The remote location allows for minimal cellphone reception but the house's land line offers free UNLIMITED long distance calls as compensation.
There is also an amazing general store conveniently 2 minutes away that sells all the groceries, snacks, toiletries and hardware that you will ever need. The owner is great to work with and is extremely helpful throughout the entire rental process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

Group of 14, close-knit friends from NYC on our annual Vermont ski trip. First, Ken is the best host ever; Professional yet easy-going demeanor and super friendly.

The house was found in great condition, everything was as we expected and MUCH more...it had a great feel to it; cozy yet everyone had more than enough room. The kitchen was very well-equipped and more than enough pots/pans you can ask for. Utensils were plentiful and enough for all of us. The fireplace was cozy and perfect after a nice relaxing time spent in the hot tub. The master bedroom is beautiful as well the other bedrooms located upstairs. Bunk beds downstairs were fitted nicely and were very comfortable to sleep on.

Overall, we had a ridiculously good time and would definitely choose to stay here again! :)

PLUS, check out the fire pit in the backyard just a few yards from the hot tub!!

Another great experience

I first stayed at Ken's house last year with some friends for President's Day weekend. We had a great time and decided to come back for New Year's Eve weekend. We again had a wonderful experience at the house and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Ken's guide sheet and willingness to help in anyway he can make renting this house a seamless experience. If you love the outdoors or are just looking to get away, I would highly recommend this house.

Great ski house for a family getaway

Just returned from a 3 day ski trip. The house was very easy to get to and very convenient to Mt Snow (15 min). We got 8" of snow during the day which was great. Luckily we had our AWD SUV to get up the steep driveway when we got home from the mountain - everything was plowed the next afternoon which was nice. Pretty little secluded area around the house too and still within walking distance to a great country store. Well kept, plenty of beds and everything you need is in the house, including a PC connected to the internet. Kids loved the game room downstairs and the hot tub was perfect. Owner very responsive by e-mail.

Great House!

Just spent a weekend at the house with a group of friends and enjoyed every minute. The house has everything you need and is bigger in person than what you can see in the pics. Everything is also labeled so you know where everything is, no muss no fuss. The market is literally 2 minutes away. Mount Snow is so close and easy to get to. I would definitely recommend it to any group and dealing with Kenneth was a pleasure.
