Best Family Vacation EVER!!
I am so sorry to have taken so long to send you a note on our stay at your absolutely lovely home. Our stay from November 1 through November 10th 2012 was just about the most fun we've had on Isla (our 4th trip). If the Island it self were not so beautiful, we could have simply stayed at your home and been more than happy....beach access, shell hunting, sunrise. The house itself was magnificent, such grandeur inside and out! The grounds were impeccable, we saw a large turtle going up the walkway to the house, only one scorpion (baby) and one little tiny garden snake....nothing that would cause any concern, just what is expected in such beautiful lush tropical surroundings. The pool was refreshing, very large, clean and just plain FUN for the entire family (age range 9 months to 53 years...) My grandson did the banana tree "check" twice a day to see if any were ready and ripe to eat...not on this trip. The coconut trees were pretty full and the gardener opened several for our group. The outdoor terrace furniture had been replaced during our stay and it was beautiful. We did flip cushions for "Negro", as this is where he likes to meet and greet your guests, which I must say is very unusual, as if he knew who we were and knew we belonged. If we had a delivery....he knew and let us know a "stranger" was on property, great dog!!!
The inside of the house was showcase beautiful, but also allowed for comfort and privacy for larger groups. The kitchen had all the amenities of home and then some, we did do lots of cooking due to having 3 children under the age of 4 and rather fixed taste buds at this age. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, beds were very comfortable not your standard run of the mill mattress. The one absolute frivolous bonus was the washer/dryer, which means LESS luggage on the plane and saved on check in luggage fees...(have to find ways to save). I can not think of one thing that your house did not offer that we needed, lots of spices, kitchen gadgets, clean fresh linens and towels, bath products, candles (replaced as used...just the right thing to do), oh yea and hammocks in all the right places, also the telescope was great, however with the 3 young children we did put that in the closed off pantry after use. Your attention to detail was impressive, we can not thank you enough for sharing your lovely home with us Isla "wanna be" homeowners. We would recommend your house 100% to our friends, family and anyone who's interest was peaked
