It is with great pleasure we welcome you to stunning 'Dreamcatcher' ! Peacefully tucked in lush woods whose porch overlooks a meandering stream running right down its side. Located in the beautiful Riverbend community, 'Dreamcatcher' is our dream come true.

It is always our sincere hope that Dreamcatcher not just meet, but even exceed our guest's expectations. For that reason we left out nothing when breathing life into this already lovely log home. One can't help but relax in the charm of its warm embrace. Open beam construction and decorated with detail featuring three large bedrooms, three large full bathrooms (one on each floor), basement playroom, loft, family room with wood burning fireplace and stocked kitchen. A mud room with washer/dryer and utility sink offers access to the three sided deck. Here, adults and kids alike can kick off their dirty boots, provided in various sizes for your enjoyment, after an afternoon of playing in the creek.

Dreamcatcher is a non-smoking, dog friendly cabin that sleeps ten very comfortably with two kings, one queen, and 4 twin beds. Cozy enough for two, but its thoughtful layout makes it easy for large families to spread out. Stake your claim on a quiet place to relax and read a book, head to the basement to play fooseball, air hockey, or even a video game on the PS2, or pick one of two televisions featuring satellite and VCR/DVD.

We can't think of many things better than enjoying that first cup of coffee while rocking on the porch and listening to the creek make its way from the gentle waterfall in back and down the cabin's side. You can choose to stay here all day and relax or plan your day to any one of the many activities Lake Lure and the surrounding area has to offer.

Located in the planned community of wooded Riverbend where we often see deer, wild turkey, or even a hawk nesting in a tall tree just beyond the porch. You would have access to its two small, private lakes with beach and picnic area. The French Broad River is there for you to enjoy fishing, tubing, or canoeing/kayaking. Not far is your chance to brave a zip line!

Lake Lure is gorgeous with rock faces to the water and boasts a fun beach/water park with many lifeguards on duty in season. Play golf at one of the three courses nearby, play tennis or basketball near the lake, or rent a boat and enjoy skiing, tubing or knee boarding while learning new techniques from your personal certified instructor. Lovely evening cruises are a wonderful way to view Lake Lure's beauty and leave every hour at the beach's marina.

Nearby Chimney Rock is a fun little town offering unique shops, putt putt by the river, and restaurants. Here we love to take our ice cream cones and go 'boulder hopping' when not getting wet is the challenge but also the most fun! Hiking Chimney Rock is spectacular! Not far is Asheville where, among other things, you might tour Biltmore Estates and Winery. The beauty of having your space here is the mountains offer something for everyone!

We had a WONDERFUL summer stay at the Dream Catcher!! The cabin is beautiful and has every amenity you could possibly need. Our two young sons loved the private creek and waterfall as well as the air hockey and foosball tables. We had a ball roasting hot dogs and making s'mores around the firepit and thoroughly enjoyed our evenings at Mirror Lake. We took advantage of our surroundings and hiked Chimney Rock, drove to Linville Caverns, went gem mining and took a Lake Lure tour. We were very busy and loved coming back to the cabin at night to relax. Dream Catcher lends itself to a very family-oriented vacation with lots of time for talking and bonding.

Happy New Year - perfect way to start 2013!!!

We just returned from celebrating New Years at this wonderful cabin in Lake Lure. The owner is FANTASTIC – I mean I cannot say enough great things about working with this family over a rental property.

First – the house is gorgeous. It was neat as a PIN when we arrived. The pictures are accurate. It’s pet friendly (AWESOME) but you would never know it – spic and span clean and smells fresh! The beds were comfortable and layout worked well for a 2-family share. 4 adults, 5 kids and one crazy labradoodle was our party makeup – and everyone loved it. It was still decorated for Christmas so sitting in the loft reading by the Christmas tree in the evenings with my wine was just so peaceful!

We were blessed with warm(ish) weather for December and the kids were playing in the creek a lot. Up and down to the waterfall and back – it was so much fun! As others have mentioned, the many choices of rubber boots were very helpful.

Kitchen – fully loaded. The pots and pans are new and clean. Lots of cutlery and gadgets… we baked since there was good stash of muffin tins and cookie sheets! Everything you need for a great family time is in this house.

We had a small issue with heat in the basement – but within 30 minutes of reaching out to the owner, he was on it. Neal had the problem solved completely within 3 hours and we were so, so happy.

I would definitely recommend this house as a rental to visit.

Great Family Vacation Home

This is a great place for a family vacation. We had plenty of room for our party of 6 adults, 3 children, and 1 dog. The house is nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable, it has all the ammenties of home. The stream running along side the property and the waterfall in the back are so beautiful and relaxing. Our grandkids played there everyday, we had campfires and smores at night. There is also a lake in the River Bend development for swimming and fishing. Lake Lure is about 10 minutes away, and Chimney Rock Park is about 5 mins. past that and a super market is near by. We are hoping to return next year. The grandkids ages 5,6, & 7, cried when it was time to go home. They said it was the best vacation EVER! These kids were on a Disney cruise 4 months before this vacation!

Great Stay

We had a great stay. The place was fantastic. We had 4 in our family, but the place would be great for 2 families to share, with beds for up to 10 and plenty of room. We had 2 dogs who loved the area. We took advantage of the neighborhood swimming hole on the other side of the devolopment and really enjoyed swimming in the river. The campgrounds 2 miles up the street offered tubing on the Broad River, so we took a 2 hour float down the river one afternoon. Neal and Debbie were quick and easy to work with.

Fabulous Week At Dream Catcher

Our family of six were delighted with the beauty of the cabin and the surrounding nature. The kitchen was well stocked with nice cooking utensils and many extras. The grandkids loved the stream and the waterfall in back of the property. Riverside stables close by was great for riding horses and the local fruits and vegtables were a real treat! The Broad River loops through Riverbend were you can tube on your own. Just follow the nature trail at the lake. We found rapids and awesome nature. We will come back for tubing next time. Make sure you stop at Larkins on the Lake for a great meal and great margarita. We will be back soon.
