We have just returned from a superb stay at this villa, it far exceeded our expectations. The desciption of the villa was accurate with everything that could possibly be needed, catered for.The propery was very clean, well maintained and exceptionally spacious, ideal for us a family of four, a large family, two families, groups of couples or groups of friends. The location, facilities and layout of the property were perfect & the heated pool was a real bonus.
There are several villages/ towns nearby. Burgau is a quiet, pretty place with a shop where basic essential food can be purchased. Opposite that there is a small shop to buy English newspapers should you wish to. There is also an ATM machine nearby. There are several good restauarants, we would recommend Beach Bar Burgau which is right on the beach, the food is excellent, during peak season you may have to book. No cards debit or credit are accepted here, so cash only.
Paraiso restaurant on the beach in Luz was also very good with a varied selection of fresh fish and the pork fillet and prawn kebab was delicious! There is a Spar supermarket here, but if you want a bigger choice, there is the Ecomarche supermarket on the N125 west of Alma Verde, approximately 6km's drive from the villa. It has a fresh fish counter, good bakery and a petrol station next door.
The Atlantico restaurant in Salema (10 minute drive) also along the N125 to the west of the villa was also excellent. Again situated on the beach it had a very good menu with a good choice of fresh fish and meat dishes.
We will definately return to this villa and would recommend it as a great choice for a holiday!
