This apartment has been completely refurbished and redesigned in 2005.
Neighborhood:
The address is Rue de Rochechouart in the 9th arrondissement. When we bought it we were looking for a neighborhood with bon rapport qualité/prix.
We wanted good food shopping, good local transport, good neighborhood ambiance with squares and cafes. This neighborhood has all of that in spades. Now it¹s becoming trendy.
To the North the street is cornered by the Avenue Trudaine - a really beautiful avenue with lots of flowers and trees.
This avenue is considered to be amongst the nicest and certainly calmest in the whole of Paris.
There are many schools and the Square d'Anvers is home of the best children's playground of the Right Bank
Crossing Square d'Anvers and Boulevard de Rochechouart brings you at the Butte Montmartre.
That's 5 to 10 minutes walking.
The area ( quartier ) has seen a major change during the last 5 years.
Many trendy restaurants attracted a young and wealthy clientele making the whole area very hip .

We are back home after a wonderful trip. The apartment was great and the bath was fabulous!
We truly lived in Paris for a week. Got up every morning about 9:30. We got ready for the day and went to the bakery about 10:30 for our croissants and then back to the corner-there is a brand new fabulous restaurant on the corner of Rochechouart and Trudaine. (Sole is the name, it is Italian, but more like a restaurant from California or London or New York) .
After croissants and coffee, we would tackle one tourist attraction and then have a lovely lunch around 2:30 or 3:00 and rest and relax and enjoy. After lunch we would visit one more site and then return home (it truly felt like home and we were comfortable from the moment we got settled in).
Mrs. Estevez was very nice but not too much help with the electronics.
Thanks again for a truly wonderful place to stay.
