Carova Heights Revisited

This is our second trip to Carova Heights in as many years. We needed to changes weeks from last year, and the owners were very accomodating and helped to coordinate with another party. This year we had 5 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs...all but 2 of us making the drive from St. Louis. While long, the drive was well worth it to put us 8 miles up the beach. My understanding is the owners add new ammenities each year, and this year was no different. Their home is clean and comfortable, and being 30 minutes from the nearest grocery store/restaurants, is well equipped to handle a week away from it all.
Unfortunately, I did have to work about 20 hours while there, but the owners have taken care of that as well. While cell service for some carries is almost none existent, I was able to have conference calls and VPN in to work with no trouble.
The wild horses of the area made their daily visits to the house, and the seafood delivery was excellent.
I'm sure this won't be our last visit to Carova Heights!
