Large Master suite also overlooking the ocean. Kitchen equipped with all the luxuries of home. Air conditioned condo. Kailua-Kona is a small oceanfront town on the western side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Alli Drive is the main road through town that follows along the oceanfront. There are many small shops, restaurants, beaches and other attractions that give this town it's quaint feel. Whether sitting along the waters edge sipping Konas world famous coffee or browsing the fine art galleries and shops, you will be surrounded by the coconut palms and the brilliant blue waters of the pacific ocean. Local farmers also have a market set up in the downtown area where you can choose some of the best fruits and vegetables you will ever have. Drive 15 minutes out of town into the higher elevations where you can visit the coffee farms and enjoy some samples of the most sought after coffee on the planet. Drive 1-1/2 hr to Volcano National Park to witness natures fury still at work in this truly dramatic setting of an active volcano. Or just relax on one of many Kona beaches. Truly an island paradise.

Notes: Your unit has its own washer/dryer. Covered parking on ground level. This complex is direct oceanfront. There are no units on level one since this is where the covered parking is located. There are 3 levels above the ground and your unit is on level two. All levels are accessed by elevator or staircase. Your private lanai is equipped with large glass patio table, four cushioned chairs, chaise lounger and small side table. Complex provides chaise loungers on the beach area and the lawns. This condo was designed so the lanai's are staggered so you do not have to worry about your neighbors seeing you which make these condos very private. This condo is our home away from home so you can rest assure that it is clean and well maintained.

Tropical breezes: The Kona coast is known for their trade winds so enjoy the natural cooling in your condo. Why be closed off in air conditioning when you can just open the two large screen doors toward the ocean and the front screen door to let the ocean breezes sweep through your condo and enjoy what you came here for. We still have air conditioning if you need it but the ocean breeze is the only way to relax 'Hawaiian Style'

The view from this property was amazing. Surfers, sea turtles, cruise ships, outrigger canoes were all visible from the most private balcony.i I have ever seen. It was ultra private allowing coffee in your robe in the morning. Ocean breezes kept the place cool so I never needed the air conditioning. It was close to the downtown area of Kona where there were many shops and restaurants. It was a very quiet location except for sewer construction during the day but I am sure this was only this year not on ongoing problem. The owners were excellent to work with. The house was clean and well maintained. I would stay there again any time.

We believe that there is truth in advertising as you have seen. Apologies from Sandy and I for the construction going on at the complex during your visit.We try our best to warn any guests of things going on but this was something that came on rather quickly and it was completed on time. There are many smaller upgrades going on at our complex to make things better for all the guests who visit the Islands and our complex Kona Bali Kai.

It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This!

Truth in advertising….your photos certainly tell the complete story. The condo is definitely ocean front, well appointed, and well maintained. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the lanai watching the local surfers, boogie boarders, turtles, and island birds. In the evening we used the lounge chairs (provided by the condo) on the beach to watch the fantastic sunsets and sip our favorite adult beverage. We used the pool all most everyday and had it to ourselves most of the time. The location of the Bali Kai is perfect…we jogged to town in the early morning (just a tad over 2 ½ miles), conveniently close to White Sands Beach, and (the best) snorkeling at Kahaluu Beach Park. It was so nice to find beach towels and mats, in the condo…they came in handy for our daily snorkeling trips and we used the small cooler on our hiking trips to the Volcano, Pololu Valley, and Greensands Beach.
The new BBQ’s are convenient and spotless…we enjoy BBQ’ed island fish one night and steak on another night during our stay.
And last but not least….the lullaby of the waves hitting the shore put us to sleep every night.

Paradise in Kona Bali Kai

We are now in our 5th day here in Kona. Your awesome condo at the Bali Kai has really made our stay very enjoyable. We love the fact that we are right on the water, can see the turtles, listen to the sounds of the surf, watch the surfers and the beautiful sunsets right off the balcony. You have supplied beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels and we have made very good use of them visiting many of the nearby white sand beaches. We plan to visit a snorkeling beach tomorrow (Honaunau). This unit is very well appointed and has most everything except the food-Ha Ha. We went to the Farmers Market and took care of that and also found gifts for those at home. Tuesday is my birthday and we used the guide book you provided to chose a restaurant to celebrate. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant. Next year maybe we will stay for a month-this is Paradise!!

I just want to Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful condo. We had a wonderful time and your condo is immaculate and has all the comforts of home. We loved getting up early every morning and watching the surfers and sitting on the lanai and waiting for the turtles to come up on the beach. What a fabulous view any time of the day. I still miss the sound of the crashing waves putting me to sleep every night.
