Guestbook comments from the owner
The adjectives to describe Lone Elk Lodge are; comfortable and homey and

peaceful after our long walks through ruggedly beautiful country. We started

and ended each day very much at ease - and we did see a lone elk across the

meadow. We enjoyed all our adventures - the variety of life zones along the

Firebrand Pass trail was incredible - Aspen, Pine, flower-filled meadows, lush

vegetation and low plant life high up among the rocks - the alpine lakes and

magnificent vistas we encountered on other other adventures - the goats,

sheep, marmots, ground squirrels we met up close. Then our return to the

comforts of our accomodations - a fine retreat and respite.

Lone Elk Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. It is beautifully furnished, and equipped with anything you might need. Leslie was also very hospitable, and gave us tips on great hikes in GP, places to eat., etc. We loved our stay at Lone Elk Lodge and hope to come back again soon!

My wife and I spent an entire week here for our 1 year anniversary. The accommodations couldn't have been better. Carl and Leslie were excellent hosts. We will definitely be coming back.

WONDERFUL

  • 5 of 5
I recently stayed at Lone Elk Lodge for three nights while visiting Glacier NP. Leslie and Carl are wonderful hosts (thanks Leslie for letting us 'borrow' your Pam, we couldn't have grilled without it) and the units are immaculately maintained. Just outside East Glacier, the property itself is in a beautiful location. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for accommodation in the East Glacier area.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS LODGE!!

  • 5 of 5
Our family, consisting of a 3 month old thru an 85 year old, stayed in the Sinopah unit. We couldn't have felt more at home. Everything, one would want, was there and available for us to use. Our stay consisted of some of us hiking around the lodge area, while others enjoyed relaxing & taking in all the beautiful scenery from the porch. We also spent time in the St Mary & Many Glaciers area, which was just a short drive from the lodge. If you are hesitant about renting a unit, trust me, you will not be disappointed. Beautiful furnishings/decor, scenery & and owners that make sure that your stay is comfortable. We also got beautiful pictures of the many hummingbirds that came to feed on the feeders right off the porch. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Glacier.

FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY DURING YOUR GLACIER NP VACATION

  • 5 of 5
My entire family, 2 yr. old daughter included, loved our stay at Lone Elk. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and location wonderfully. Leslie was great as was her daughter in helping us out. Leslie and Carl clearly did not go cheap when designing their units as I have seen from time to time with other vacation rentals. The Lone Elk Lodge was really great, and I would recommend it to anyone going to GNP.
