Both bedrooms feature Queen mattresses, quality linens and flat screen TVs. One bedroom has an attached half bath. Each bedroom has new high-volume ceiling fans and dual pane windows for your comfort. One bedroom has windows facing toward ocean and greenbelt. Second bedroom has windows facing the landscaped front area with tropical foliage.

This end-unit has a covered front lanai. The covered back lanai has a charcoal BBQ and beach supplies.

Enjoy the beach all day and come home to the convenience of a vacation 'home' in this small, two-story complex. This is the smallest complex in the Kapaa/Wailua area This vacation home is one of 12 units on the ocean side of the complex. Enjoy the convenience of a bottom floor, end-unit. No elevators, no lobby, no stairs. Reserved parking space is 20 feet from entry lanai and parking is free. The back lanai faces a greenbelt and tennis courts(not part of the complex). It is a perfect spot for the afternoon BBQ.

Enjoy the day spa services at the adjacent Waipouli Beach Resort or the Marriott Courtyard.

Close to the popular coastal bike/walking ocean path with scenic ocean vistas.

This is one of the few locations on Kauai you can enjoy without a rental car. Take a 15 minute taxi ride (7 miles) from the airport. Or let your friends and family take the car for the day while you enjoy biking and the beach.

The narrow strip of land on the ocean side of the highway has upscale resorts within walking distance. Enjoy a different restaurant each night and afternoon cocktails at the nearby beach bars. Or walk across the street to two shopping centers to enjoy coffee shops and restaurants.

Why Mike chose Kapaa

We live on Kauai and we like being able to offer an affordable, 2 bedroom within steps of the beach. We chose this area because of it's close proximity to the coastal walking/biking path. This vacation home is in the heart of the partially complete 16 mile stretch of the bike path. We love the layout of the unit because it is in a 4 plex building configuration. Only one shared wall and a unit above. We have spent years upgrading and remodeling this unit. We get positive feedback on our vacation home and enjoy making it a great value.

What makes this condo unique

Since we live on the island, we are available to help with maintenance issues. This is one of the few places on Kauai where you can enjoy our island without renting a car. Take a 15 minute taxi from the airport! (7 miles)

Hi Mike,

Thank you for letting me stay in your vacation rental, I had a blast. The last two times I visited Kauai I stayed in the newer complex across from safeway, which was very nice but it seemed to be a waste as I never hung out there and I never felt comfortable in the units. Your place has great neighbors, (Jim/James next door), and the people upstairs are very quite and only there at night. I enjoyed having a beer or two while in the chair upfront before dark, and enjoyed the cross breeze from having the doors open when I was inside. I got plenty of use out of one of the many mask/snorkel combos provided with your rental and I will not hesitate to use your place again on my next visit. They only thing I would add to your already well stocked place would be a couple of pint mugs for orange juice in the morning and beer at night. Thank you once again, I really enjoyed renting your place and I look forward to staying there again. GM

Great getaway

Great location. You can walk to the beach and stores. Condo has everything you will need, beds were comfy. Lydgate park is 10 min away, great for small kids and beginning snorkelers. There is a little Italian restaurant and a shaved ice truck on the corner you can walk to. We had a wonderful time.

Thank you so much. Your place is very nicely designed and comfortable. I love the infinity drain in the shower. After a long day of hiking there was nothing better. The neighbors are very friendly and respectful. The place is more like a home, with bbqing and beach super close by. Plus the convience of grocery stores and bars made us forget about fast food. Great deal too! Highly recomended.

Our 7 day stay in this condo was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. the large walk-in shower was super. Flat screen tvs in both bedrooms and one in the living room were nice. Internet telephone was provided allowing free calls to the mainland. The kitchen was well furnished with cooking items and basic spices. Beach items, including very comfortable beach chairs, were available. The condo is located one block from Foodland which has the best prices on the island. It is also located midway between the Northshore and Southshore and 10 minutes from the airport. We recommend this condo to anyone visiting Kaua'i and we will definitely use it on our next trip.

Our stay at Village Manor, Kapaa

We were very disappointed about our stay at this condo. The initial appearance of the complex was very dismal. The landscaping was unruly and needs some maintenance. The condo itself is very small for 5 people. My son slept on the sofabed in the living room the first night and was extremely uncomfortable. My husband had to find the circuit breaker to fix a wall switch and turn on the hot water in the only bathroom. The a/c unit in the masterbedroom was not connected to the outside wall and we had to hold it in place with a stack of books. The closet doors were standing inside the closet and the handle on the sliding door to the toilet was broken. We had to call for toilet paper and beach towels within a couple of days and the toilet in the master bedroom broke. Someone attended to the problems in a timely manner, however. The "tree lined path" to the beach was hard to find and littered with a discarded toilet among other treasures. We had to find a narrow walkway next to the tennis courts to a beach that is way too rocky to swim at. Since the complex has no pool, my boys could not swim unless we drove to find a beach. There are no basic cooking ingredients in the kitchen, like we had in other condos on Hawaii. The laundry room is across the condo in an outdoor building and the machines are ancient. We felt the condo was misrepresented and as it maybe a good condo for students, we would not recommend it for a family with children.

Owner's Response: We love our condo! It is updated with new fixtures, appliances, tile floors, track lighting new shower. It has quality linens, nice furnishings, and is centrally located. We have many return visitors and have poured our hearts into getting great feedback. We truly enjoy providing a very, very affordable 2 bedroom with 1 and one-half baths. Many families have enjoyed the space and sleeping flexibility with 3 queen bed options.We live on Kauai and fix problems immediately. We fixed the toilet handle within hours of the guest call. We apologize for any inconvenience. However, the visitor mentioned we only had 1 bathroom. There is, in fact, a very nice half-bath with new fixtures and vanity. We also apologize for the inconvenience of flipping the electrical switch. We had just completed a major upgrade of the kitchen; making the shelving open and modern, adding tract lighting and “bar style” seating. We were so excited that we forgot to flip the switch! We do not, as the guest mentioned, have a “stocked kitchen” with spices, etc. Our cleaning staff removes any open food items, such as flour or spices for fear of willful contamination. However, you can expect to find paper products, salt and pepper, dishwasher soap, hand soap, tin foil, ziplock bags, sugar in packets, barbeque suppllies, etc. The new closet doors were fixed immediately. It is now very difficult for a guest to knock them off the track. We also relocated A/C unit so that it is almost impossible to shake the exhaust hose loose when unpacking luggage. The A/C is such a nice ammenity and we want our guests to have carefree operation. As for the path to the beach, we didn't find any debris. However, we will try to pick up any items on this county maintained property on a weekly basis. The laundry building does have open doors for ventilation. The 3 washers and 3 dryers are maintained by a third party supplier of most equipment for laundries on Kauai. One dryer has recently been replaced. We like our small, quiet complex of only 24 units. It has stucco exterior, new roofs, newer concrete staircase. Landscaping in back and side is grass only. We have started to maintain the front ourselves with more colorful potted plants, trimming of the palms, fertillizing, solar walk-way lights and more frequent watering.

GREAT PLACE!

We enjoyed our stay at the condo very much, it had everything we wanted and more! It was very close to a beautiful beach where you can see the sunrise every morning. The condo was very clean and had a great island decor. It also had some beach gear such as chairs and towels that we got a lot of use out of. Mike was great to work with and the booking was very easy and efficient.

Wonderful Place To Stay

We stayed in this property in the second week of January 2012. The stay was very pleasant and memorable. The morning walks to the beach and sun rise was an outstanding experience. The house was in a very convenient location with shops around.

The only issue i had was with handling the flies. My girl loved running behind the Rooster every day. Otherwise we had a good time.

Owner's Response: We are always happy when our guests like our property and hope we can welcome them back. The guest encountered a brief time when the tradewinds were not blowing. This is an unusual event particularly in the month of December. During those times there can be flies around the Wailua River bank especially when walking in the early evening. We hope the guest will return.
