We really appreciated the many touches of luxury.” “To fall asleep and wake to the rhythms of the surf felt like we were being returned to the heart of the earth.” “It’s hard to decide whether the setting inside or out is more lovely. It’s especially nice to have a well equipped kitchen to work in.” “Once again we had a wonderful vacation at your fabulous beach house!” “Long walks on the beach, staring at the waves, following the pelican fleet’s lazy motions, listening to the music of the ocean, sunbathing…What a life!” ''This was our best anniversary yet!'' Why this home is special:
This is our personal home, it is not just a rental. Personal touches include a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, a spinet piano (complete with music!), extra-long beds (we are tall!), memorabilia from our world travels, an extensive library, two guest passes to the magnificent Monterey Aquarium (normal admission $25 per adult), new appliances, granite countertops in the dining area and hearth, and much more.
We provide bicycles and a bicycle pump, a basketball, a football, bocce balls (and instruction book!), kites and string, shuffleboard gear, golf clubs (pitching wedge and putter) and golf balls for the golf net. There's dry firewood in the garage and a Weber charcoal BBQ in the patio. The nearest grocery store (Super Max) is about two miles away in Castroville. As you can see, this is a special place; we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Please do not contact us if your party has more than four people, of any age.
Monterey Dunes Colony:
Monterey Dunes Colony is a unique beachfront development of 120 homes on 100 beachfront acres, arranged in two and three unit clusters. It stretches for a mile along the Pacific Ocean beach between Santa Cruz and Monterey, near the mouth of the Salinas River. While most of the homes are weekend homes, there are an increasing number of full time residents. Our cluster is the closest to the clubhouse, where you'll find the tennis courts, the swimming pool, the hot tub, and the other amenities.
Other Activities:
bocce ball, basketball, volleyball, hot tub, shuffleboard, golf driving net and putting green
