The view was the best I've seen, and I've been going to Gulf Shores since I was a child. The view is expansive, taking up the whole living room wall. It is not a long walk to the beach. There is a boardwalk 3 camps down and to the left, with a beach shower at the start, and flag to warn of high currents or jellyfish. When we went, there was a large volleyball net set up with 4 inch sturdy poles. We played volleyball there; remember to bring a ball. I recommend a canopy for the beach. We were within walking distance to "The Pass" where the Gulf meets the lagoon. I highly recommend it. There was a sandbar and clear moving water; it was shallow and fun. The condo was cool the whole time; the bathrooms are huge! You could almost fit a room in there. I also enjoyed the views of the Lagoon, especially at sunset, which is beautiful to see. The pool was family friendly, 3 half feet deep all around, perfect for floating on a raft, which is what I did. The balcony was thehugest one I've ever seen; the lounge chairs that were as comfortable as beds. We played a Scrabble there. My friends had dinner by candlelight there. You can see the whole Gulf, from left to right, and because you are on the 13th floor, you can see a whole lot of it. It is located in a place where there are not any condos except for yours; large colorful 'cabins' all around in pink and seafoam. bring a small holed scoop net with you to " The Pass", schools of tiny fish that are in the thousands. Couple of jellyfish stings at the Gulf by people around us. Bring meat tenderizer. Bring sunglasses, a hat, the highest spf sunblock. The waves were strong when we went. The flag color was red for 2 days, then it was yellow for 2 days. I swam out past the waves up to my chest, bc the waves weren't strong. Many people went to "The Pass", which I preferred because of the calm water and it was clear with a strong current, which was fun. I wish the checkout time was not 10 am. We really needed it to extend to 1. There is a Walmart which is hard to see from the street, at the end of the main road leading to Gulf Shores. I recommend eating at Lambert's 'Home of the throwed rolls', a fun place; check out their website, 11-19$ a meal, plus tip. The Racetrack for has gocarts which go up in the air,8$, and golf. There is a Waterville that we missed, good for children. It was a 5 hour drive from New Orleans. which was half tank gas for my car, and 1 tank total. There are concierge carts near the elevator.
