Originally built in the 1920s, this darling craftsman style cottage has been lovingly and meticulously restored to its former condition. It is the perfect romantic hideaway, a fun family getaway and very convenient for business trips.

Bob and I enjoyed our stay at Michelle and Philip's little house. It was neat and clean and the kitchen was very convenient for us. The neighborhood was very quiet and private and we felt safe and settled. I would suggest having a car... the walk isn't a short one, especially in inclement weather.

The cottage was clean and nicely furnished and we enjoyed our conversation with Philip when he came over to help a technologically-challenged renter negotiate the TV and thermostat. The front hedge made our nights on the front porch feel very private. The proximity to the ocean was great as it was only a five minute drive away. Our only suggestions would be to replace the sheer curtain in the bathroom with an opaque one for a less exposed feeling and to have a broom and dustpan in the cottage. We had a great time in SB and would definitely stay here again.

This cottage provided us a very enjoyable stay in Santa Barbara. It is very nicely and conveniently furnished and the location is excellent! You can actually walk (if you wish!) both to SB downtown and to the beaches, still remaining in an extremely quiet surroundings. The hosts are very discreet and helpful.

The cottage was immaculate, beautiful, and very comfortable, and I am quite picky about where I stay. If we return to Santa Barbara there is no question we would stay there again. Michelle and Phillip are kind, helpful, and personable people. As others have said, there is a sense of privacy as they are unobtrusive and respectful (their home is on the same lot as the cottage). We also had the pleasure of spending some time with Michelle and Phillip as we shared common interests and our children wanted to play together...and this made our vacation even more memorable. Michelle even kindly offered to have my 5 year old over to play while we packed for our departure. There is no going wrong here, the cottage is perfect and the hosts are unbelievably nice, accomodating, friendly and simply wonderful people.
