6th Arrondissement St Germain des Pres Vacation Rental apartment

This fifth floor two bedroom flat was very comfortable for two couples traveling together and is ideally situated in a lively neighborhood, but on a relatively quiet street. The Odeon Metro station is very close by, and the St. Michel RER station is only a few blocks. The flat has two decent sized bedroom, although the bathrooms are rather small, as is the kitchen. The washer/dryer is in one unit and a little confusing to operate. There is an air conditioner, but it was not working (and fortunately not really needed) during our stay. The living room/dining room is spacious and comfortable with a flat screen tv with English language programming. There is WIFI in the unit, and two cell phones for local usage are provided.

The flat was clean, nicely decorated, and well maintained, although in quite an old building, and wood floors are not even and ceilings are rather low. The lift, quite a small one, goes only to the fourth floor, so pack lightly, as you will have to carry what you have up the final, narrow, flight of stairs.

The owner was easy to work with, meets you at the flat with keys and provides a walk through of the equipment in the flat, and made good recommendations for activities and local restaurants (Marco Polo, one block over from the flat was a real winner).

There are a number of sandwich shops, cafes and bistros in the area, as well as at least three cinemas, the Odeon Theater, shops and boutiques, antiquities and book stores.

This is a great neighborhood and we had a wonderful stay and would come back again.
