This spacious home was neat and clean. It was well-equpped with furniture, linens, towels, and kitchenware. The washer and dryer were handy additions. The home is located in the quiet town of Port Ludlow. The homeowners responded quickly and graciously t.o fix some minor electric problems we had.

Great Port Ludlow House. Great location to explore everything the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Everything about our stay was great. The views are incredible. House is extremely well equipped. The bedrooms are very large and the kitchen has lots of space. Joan and Jay are very responsive and attentive owners. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Perfect for two families. You can sit and enjoy the views all day!

Wonderful Property - Would Return in a Heartbeat!

This is a superb property, with wonderful views out on to the Puget Sound. As a British family of five, we spent a happy week using this as our base to visit Olympic National Park, Seattle and the Pacific Coast. I only wish we had planned to stay longer!
It was very relaxing in the house - sitting in the sunroom for breakfast, watching the hummingbirds feed in the garden, or having dinner on the deck with the sun going down and the sky in hues of pink and purple was truly enchanting.
The house is incredibly spacious, and we especially liked the way that three of the bedrooms look out over the sea.
Cooking on holiday can seem tedious, but in the large open plan kitchen and lounge, it didn’t feel like a chore and the rest of the family were nearby! We would also recommend dining at Zoogs in nearby Port Hadlock, where our three boys were delighted with “Caveman Cooking”.
Everything that we needed was in the house which was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained – it was all-round excellent.
The owners were extremely prompt and helpful when we were making enquiries and arranging the booking. They also checked with us after our arrival to see that we had everything we needed.
If we are ever fortunate enough to re-visit, this will be the first place we look to book.

Absolutely Lovely-Loved the Sunroom!

The rental was perfect for our group. We loved the sun-room, large kitchen and amazing deck! The space is large and easily accommodated our group. The owners were friendly throughout the rental process. The only challenging part of the process was the preferred payment method. We did not feel comfortable with the paypal instructions and for a moment worried about the legitimacy of the rental reservation. But, happily it all worked out and we enjoyed our stay! I would definitely love to stay again and highly recommend it to other visitors.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and for letting us know that you were uncomfortable with our preferred methods of payment. Because you were uneasy using PayPal I have changed our "preferred methods of payment" to simply "methods of payment."

The sun room/solarium is also one of our favorite spots. We love watching the cruise ships heading out to sea, sailboats, Kayakers, fishing boats and an occasional nuclear sub. We also enjoy the deer wandering through the yard most days and the variety of birds and other wildlife--especially the hummingbirds.

We hope you will come back to stay and thank you for your feedback.

Restful, Refreshing, beautiful place to stay, great for birders and nature-lovers.

My husband, his sister and I stayed at this lovely house in November, 2012. Every room in the house looks out on Puget Sound, and every morning, Bald Eagles fly by, sometimes stopping to roost in trees on the property. We are birders, and enjoyed the gardens on the property because they are designed to attract birds and provide seeds and nectar for many species. We regularly saw Red Crossbills, Stellar’s Jays, Sapsuckers and Woodpeckers, Ruby and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Mountain and Chestnut-backed Chickadees, White-crowned and Golden-crowned sparrows, several species of loons and grebes, many gulls, finches, warblers, a pine grosbeak, and hundreds of pine siskins. Snowy Owls were reported nearby, though we weren’t lucky enough to see one. Below the house, a family of sea otters played everyday in in the waters near shore. The owners have provided a scope and binoculars for viewing.

The best feature of the house is the sunroom. Though it was cold outside at times, the sunroom was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Every day we were there (three weeks), we arose early so we could enjoy sunrise at this very beautiful spot. In November, it gets dark very early in Pt. Ludlow, and we tried to always be home at sunset so we could watch the stars appear, and the light of the moon rising on Puget Sound. Being from Southern California, we don’t see lots of rain, so we really enjoyed the storms as they passed over the Puget Sound. Everything about this location is spectacular. This is truly a place to renew your spirit.

Everything you need is available in this house and the owners are very attentive if there is a problem. I know this because we telephoned them because the television in the bedroom was not working. They immediately wanted to come to fix the problem. However, we really didn’t need a television in the bedroom, so we told them that wasn’t necessary. We have every confidence that had we wanted the TV to work, we’d have had one.

One thing not mentioned in the house description is access to a garage for parking one’s car. It rained a lot while we were there, and the garage was so handy. We could get in and out without getting wet, and the car was always dry and quickly warmed when we would get into it in the morning.

The neighborhood is wonderful. Every night, rain or not, we took a walk in the neighborhood. We met so many nice people while we were out walking, saw numerous deer (they also walked right beneath the
