The incredible views from this lovely custom built, waterfront home will take your breath away. The house offers a secluded setting with a green belt on one side and a house set back from view on the other. No need for window coverings to block the view--it is totally private. If you prefer a dark room in which to sleep bring your sleep eye covers. We enjoy being awakened by a gorgeous sunrise. Sit in the solarium and watch the eagles fly right overhead or fish in the water below you.

Enjoy unobstructed views of Puget Sound, the Cascade mountains and Mt. Baker from virtually every room in the house. Watch the ever changing activity of cruise ships, sailboats, tankers or a nuclear submarine, from the large deck or our cozy solarium. The professionally landscaped yard is designed for privacy and easy maintenance and features a tranquil pond and natural woodland setting. Watch the deer and raccoons drink from the pond and wander through the yard any given day.

The fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, double ovens and Subzero refrigerator (a smaller extra refrigerator is in the laundry room) and a view that makes cooking a real pleasure. Or you can pull up a bar stool to the eating counter and grab a quick snack. Fine dining is minutes away if you aren't in the mood for cooking.

The living room has a stone wall with a gas fireplace. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas (one converts to queen size bed) in front of the fireplace and enjoy great conversation, a good book or a glass of wine. Or, simply admire the beauty of the view.

The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, a king sized bed and sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Lie in bed and watch the sun rise or the cruise ships heading back to port. Master bath has double vanity and lots of storage space.

One bedroom has queen sized bed and a garden view. The other bedroom is very large, with enough extra room for two more people. Bring sleeping bags for the kids. Bedroom doors open to the deck. Relax with a cup of coffee at the bistro table with four chairs and enjoy the marvelous water and mountain views.

A bonus room and office upstairs has a queen airbed on platform as well as a full size

convertible sofa bed. Spectacular views from the office.

The house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated to make your stay feel extra special and comfortable.

The soft breezes from the water below make outdoor dining, after Grilling on our Weber Gas grill, on the table for six comfortable even on a hot day a real treat.

Four fold-up lounging deck chairs are also provided. Try to spot the seals on the rocks below with the telescope provided or just marvel at the incredible view.

From Port Ludlow you can hop a ferry to Seattle and tour the waterfront and famous Pike Place Market or drive about an hour to Port Angeles and take the ferry to Victoria and spend the day in this charming city with a visit to the world famous Butchart Gardens. Also Whidbey Island, Hurricane Ridge, the rain forest, Poulsbo, Sequim and the lavendar festival and Port Gamble are great trips.

Historic Port Townsend is about 20 minutes away with antique shops, many talented artists offering their wares and lots of charming shops. Farmer's Markets are held every Saturday during the spring and summer. Visit Bremerton and tour the naval shipyards or the Undersea Naval Museum in Keyport.

There are many options if you are adventurous. Or, you may want to stay close by and hike the trails, walk to the marina and look at the boats or stop by the Inn and have a glass of wine or dinner. There is a bar and a large covered porch overlooking the marina.

This lovely home is a perfect place for a romantic get-away, retreat, honeymoon or family gathering. Thinking about moving to the area? Short- or long-term rentals available. Just give us a call. There is no telephone.

I am a retired legal assistant and my husband is a retired real estate project manager.

Our family owns a condo at the resort a short distance away so the area was familiar to us. A dear friend previously owned the home and we were thrilled when it came on the market and snatched it right up. Living in the Seattle area makes for a quick weekend get-away or a long-term vacation spot. We love it here!

The first time we walked into the house we were captivated by the incredible views. We have complete privacy and no need for curtains or blinds to block the view. Bald Eagles nest in trees close by the house so they are constantly flying overhead or fishing in the water below. Deer wander through the yard daily and there is abundant bird life.

A GREAT HOUSE WITH AMAZING VIEWS!

  • 4 of 5
This house was perfect for our weekend away with 4 adults and 6 kids. The views were gorgeous and the sunroom was wonderful since it was a little rainy. We could still sit "outside" and enjoy the view. The location was great for access to Port Townsend and other area attractions. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO COME AND RELAXE AND LET THE WORLD PASS YOU BY. THE VIEWS FROM INSIDE HOUSE, THE DECK AND SOLARIUM WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL. WATCH ALL THE BIRDS, DEER & EAGLES WAS SOMETHING TO SEE. WE COULD SEE MT BAKER THE CASCADS MT. RANGE. LOCATED ON THE SHIPPING CHANNEL YOU COULD SEE ALL THE SHIPS COME AND GO 24 HOURS A DAY. LOVELY HOME THAT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE ON A REAL RETREAT FROM CITY LIFE!

Lovely home that will make you feel like you're on a real retreat from city life!

This is a lovely home in Port Ludlow that makes you feel like you are on a private estate. The deck is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and overlooks the water. We stayed for two nights and spent a day driving around the northern part of the Olympic National Park - about an hour and half away. It is a great, spacious getaway home that I hope to return to!

MAY GET-AWAY

  • 5 of 5
The expansive views from various rooms are incredible in this beautiful home in a quiet location. There was plenty of seating and sleeping space for our group of 9. Nice kitchen too. Well maintained. It's a lovely neighborhood for walking to the marina.

FABULOUS HOME AND LOCATION - WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!!

  • 5 of 5
Three of us ladies (one, my 88 year old mother) spent 10 glorious days here. The house, grounds, and the many amenities were extremely well represented. We felt that it was actually much better than we expected. Clean, and well maintained does not begin to describe the quality of the furnishings, linens, kitchen supplies and comforts we experienced in this lovely home. A warm cozy fireplace, solarium room and beautiful decks adds to the enjoyment of this home for all seasons and types of weather. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet with friendly neighbors. Views of the water are superb from all the common living areas and the two largest bedrooms.
We found its location to be close to many things to do. We took the ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island and on to LaConner to see the tulips. We love Port Townsend and spent Easter Sunday brunch at Sweet Laurettes Bistro (our favorite bakery) in uptown. The Silverwater Cafe is one of our favorites in downtown Port Townsend. We had a great night at the Starlight Theater (upstairs over the Rose theater) next to the Silverwater. What an experience!! It seats 45 on couches and big chairs to see the movie with a bar and light food menu from the Sliverwater to choose goodies from. When your drinks and food are ready, they call out the names you have been given (I was Ingrid Bergman and my friend - James Dean). Our favorite, the Ajax cafe in Port Hadlock still remains the best dinner place for quality food and environment for a great meal and time out!!! On the 101 near Discovery Bay is the Snug Harbor Cafe with great chowder and fish. One night we tried Pizza from the Cucina right in Port Ludlow --excellent!!!
The owners are very friendly and helpful to work with. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and relatives---- we plan to return!!!!
