The incredible views from this lovely custom built, waterfront home will take your breath away. The house offers a secluded setting with a green belt on one side and a house set back from view on the other. No need for window coverings to block the view--it is totally private. If you prefer a dark room in which to sleep bring your sleep eye covers. We enjoy being awakened by a gorgeous sunrise. Sit in the solarium and watch the eagles fly right overhead or fish in the water below you.
Enjoy unobstructed views of Puget Sound, the Cascade mountains and Mt. Baker from virtually every room in the house. Watch the ever changing activity of cruise ships, sailboats, tankers or a nuclear submarine, from the large deck or our cozy solarium. The professionally landscaped yard is designed for privacy and easy maintenance and features a tranquil pond and natural woodland setting. Watch the deer and raccoons drink from the pond and wander through the yard any given day.
The fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, double ovens and Subzero refrigerator (a smaller extra refrigerator is in the laundry room) and a view that makes cooking a real pleasure. Or you can pull up a bar stool to the eating counter and grab a quick snack. Fine dining is minutes away if you aren't in the mood for cooking.
The living room has a stone wall with a gas fireplace. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas (one converts to queen size bed) in front of the fireplace and enjoy great conversation, a good book or a glass of wine. Or, simply admire the beauty of the view.
The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet, a king sized bed and sliding glass doors that open to the deck. Lie in bed and watch the sun rise or the cruise ships heading back to port. Master bath has double vanity and lots of storage space.
One bedroom has queen sized bed and a garden view. The other bedroom is very large, with enough extra room for two more people. Bring sleeping bags for the kids. Bedroom doors open to the deck. Relax with a cup of coffee at the bistro table with four chairs and enjoy the marvelous water and mountain views.
A bonus room and office upstairs has a queen as well as a full size convertible sofa bed. Spectacular views from the office.
The house is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated to make your stay feel extra special and comfortable.
The soft breezes from the water below make outdoor dining, after Grilling on our Weber Gas grill, on the table for six comfortable even on a hot day a real treat.
Four fold-up lounging deck chairs are also provided. Try to spot the seals on the rocks below with the telescope provided or just marvel at the incredible view.
From Port Ludlow you can hop a ferry to Seattle and tour the waterfront and famous Pike Place Market or drive about an hour to Port Angeles and take the ferry to Victoria and spend the day in this charming city with a visit to the world famous Butchart Gardens. Also Whidbey Island, Hurricane Ridge, the rain forest, Poulsbo, Sequim and the lavendar festival and Port Gamble are great trips.
Historic Port Townsend is about 20 minutes away with antique shops, many talented artists offering their wares and lots of charming shops. Farmer's Markets are held every Saturday during the spring and summer. Visit Bremerton and tour the naval shipyards or the Undersea Naval Museum in Keyport.
There are many options if you are adventurous. Or, you may want to stay close by and hike the trails, walk to the marina and look at the boats or stop by the Inn and have a glass of wine or dinner. There is a bar and a large covered porch overlooking the marina.

I am a retired legal assistant and my husband is a retired real estate project manager.
Our family owns a condo at the resort a short distance away so the area was familiar to us. A dear friend previously owned the home and we were thrilled when it came on the market and snatched it right up. Living in the Seattle area makes for a quick weekend get-away or a long-term vacation spot. We love it here!
The first time we walked into the house we were captivated by the incredible views. We have complete privacy and no need for curtains or blinds to block the view. Bald Eagles nest in trees close by the house so they are constantly flying overhead or fishing in the water below. Deer wander through the yard daily and there is abundant bird life.
Wow! I stepped into the house (No! This was a warm, monumental HOME!) and immediately I see a huge ship passing before me down the straits heading for the Pacific Ocean. What a view. I sit on the cozy padded couch, turn on the fireplace, continue to gaze at the everchanging panorama : eagles, sea gulls in the air and killer whales in the water drifting by along with various ships...and no people. It is so pleasant and relaxing that I doze. Yes, it was that relaxing to me and my wife. I awoke, galvanized by this home, made cocktails, sipped and cooked a sumpuous dinner (the kitchen is fully decked out with utensils, dishes, lighting, with music in the background. We crept back to a very comfortable, spacious bedroom and slept the night away and woke early to one of the most gorgeous sun rises I have ever seen...Hawaii, eat your heart out. We enjoyed the surrounding grounds as we did leisurely walks, swam in the area indoor pool, reveled in drives around the area: Port Townsend with great stores and restaurants, Port Gamble, got a quick nine holes of golf...but really looked forward to getting back to our home away from home so that we could relax, read, doze, ogle the skyline and ever present view, cook, read, view, sleep, eat..............plain old RELAX! I plan on returning to this outstanding retreat. Thank you so much for such a wonderful place and location and all the amenities that you have to offer.
great option for larger groups in a great location- lots of space to be together and apart. Views are fantastic in any weather- the solarium is one of our favorite parts of the house. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets...
We had a great time with our family at this beautiful home with the spectacular view. Can't say enough about the lovely garden complete with browsing deer. Good location close to Port Townsend activities. We visited the farmer's market and had a great lunch in town. Enjoyed the big kitchen for family breakfasts and dinners. Very enjoyable weekend.Owner very easy to work with.
My family attended our son's wedding in nearby Port Gamble this July. We elected to stay at this fabulous home only 15 minutes away in Port Ludlow. You can't imagine our excitement when we opened the front door and entered this magnificent home with the spectacular view. The home was everything advertised and more. The visit by the deer our very first morning was great. Hummingbird lovers will be thrilled by the almost constant presence of these tiny, speed birds. The location was ideal for us to visit other great activities in Port Gamble, Port Townsend, Kingston and even Seattle (with a short ferry ride). We highly recommend Puerto Vallarta restaurant in Kingston. Best Mexican food we have enjoyed since Mexico.
The only recommendation I would make is that the owners provide a guest book to sign and leave comments, if desired.
Definitely would recommend and will likely return!
This house was perfect for our weekend away with 4 adults and 6 kids. The views were gorgeous and the sunroom was wonderful since it was a little rainy. We could still sit "outside" and enjoy the view. The location was great for access to Port Townsend and other area attractions. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!
A WONDERFUL HOME YOU CAN ENJOY
THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO COME AND RELAXE AND LET THE WORLD PASS YOU BY. THE VIEWS FROM INSIDE HOUSE, THE DECK AND SOLARIUM WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL. WATCH ALL THE BIRDS, DEER & EAGLES WAS SOMETHING TO SEE. WE COULD SEE MT BAKER THE CASCADS MT. RANGE. LOCATED ON THE SHIPPING CHANNEL YOU COULD SEE ALL THE SHIPS COME AND GO 24 HOURS A DAY. WE LOVED THE LAYOUT OF THE HOUSE, IT WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED.
WE LOVE PORT TOWNSEND AND THE FARMES MARKET. WE FOUND GREAT PLACES TO EAT AT WHERE EVER WE WENT.
I'M SURE WE WILL BE BACK.BIG
