The home’s prime hilltop location offers views in every direction. From the kitchen, you can see the high-rise hotels of the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone). The Pacific Ocean twinkles through keyhole views just across the street. The master and large guest room have beautiful views of Stone Island and the coastline south; the sizeable deck boasts a million dollar view of Mazatlán’s harbor, Stone Island, and the coastline as far as the eye can see.
Things to do in Mazatlan:
There are great neighborhood strolls right outside the door and a small, sandy surfing beach (Playa Olas Altas) two short blocks away. Mazatlán's historic center, starting just at the bottom of the hill, is a beautiful, leafy, walkable neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, shops, an art museum, an archaeological museum, the Angela Peralta Theater, the Casa Machado, Spas ($20 massages), an English-language library, and more.
Some of the city’s most popular restaurants are located around the Plazuela Machado, a lovely, shady, bench-lined town square which is the historic heart of Mazatlán. The recently refurbished Angela Peralta Theater offers everything from films to concerts to opera. The Plazuela is a relaxed 10-minute walk from the house.
