NEW 2006 WATERFRONT LOG HOME ON FAWN LAKE

What a great property, stayed there with 11 fishing buddies and fished the salmon river and surrounding tributaries. All the ammenities like the posting said,plenty of room for everyone. The group voted and 12 out of 12 want to come back in 2013!!
Property iis near all the local attractions like the salmon river, lake ontario, salmon river water falls [a must see], tug hill plateau, town of Altmar,fish hatchery and city of Pulaski. Looks like plenty of good hunting opportunities, and dont forget the property is right on fawn lake!!!! Great location for family get away as well, will be back to this Gem for sure. The Owner John was great to deal with, seamless and communication was spot on. Thanks John!!!

A lovely, clean and comfortable property! We were amazed at how secluded this house is and although you can see a couple of neighboring houses through the trees if you really look, we saw just one car come down the winding road the entire time we were there. It's the epitome of "peace and quiet". If you're looking to escape to nature's beauty, then this is the place for you. The home is spotlessly clean and the interior space is much larger than anticipated Lots of room in the house to find a quiet corner to read a book whether it's in the comfy loft, one of the generous sized bedrooms or out on the big deck/porch. There's a firepit as well though we didn't use it. The water in the small lake (actually more like a pond) was extremely low this year due to drought-like conditions, so we weren't able to enjoy it. Fishing from the shoreline didn't produce a single nibble but that's okay -- the house is so close to many access points to the Salmon River. What a site to sit at the river's edge in many lovely locations to watch the fisherman trying to land those giant salmon! The owner of the property is very responsive and easy to deal with. He had suggested our trying a Lake Ontario fishing charter which hadn't been part of our original plan. But we decided to give it a try. WOW, it was the highlight of our trip as we landed lots of huge salmon! And now have a freezer full of it! YUMM!! We used Strike Zone Fishing Charters out of Pulaski and are SO glad we did & just can't recommend them enough. Call and ask for Rob or Todd -- they are fabulous! The beds in the house were relatively comfortable and it's just so convenient to have the linens and towels already at the house for you. Couple suggestions -- be sure to put something really really heavy on top of the trash cans or you will have raccoons helping themself to the trash. Speaking of wildlife, we saw deer many times everyday. Sometimes right next to the house, sometimes in the field behind the house.
The pictures on this site don't do the house justice -- really. Some of the furniture is a bit different than pictured so I don't know what other reviews were talking about with their references. We found it all clean and comfy and absolutely can't wait to make a return trip!! Thank you to the owner for sharing this home in the middle of nature's glory!

What a nice area, the views of the lake and wild life were great! My mom , sisters and I get away every year, this year we decided to stay closer to home. I do wish the furniture was more suited for our ages of 49-81. The table was pretty high for us to sit comfortably, but we made due with the small cafe table . The cabin was beautiful and we had a great time. The bull frogs and red squirrel were pretty entertaining also. It was great not having to bring linens , towels , it was all there for us. overall stay was very nice, just would have liked better seating for our age group.thank you for sharing your little taste of heaven!
