Perfect winter get-away spot

We had such a sweet, relaxing time with our good friends at this wonderful cottage. We enjoyed the fireplace, music, the Wifi, and even a VERY important football game on satellite tv. The art and decor, especially at holiday time, was wonderful! We felt so special! The kitchen had everything we needed to supplement what we brought for our in-cottage meals. It was great to have two full baths; very convenient! There are so many art galleries, restaurants, and antique shops in the area. We enjoyed that! We didn't realize that you could not see the beach from cottage until we got there, but for a winter visit, we didn't mind at all. We also enjoyed the many birds that flocked to the fence and bird feeders outside. The owners were so sweet to us and made sure we were all set for a great visit, and we loved it!

I apologize if you did not realize from our website that the house did not face the water even though we are on the sands.We are on the beach walk and the beach front , however, our fence and side garden does obsure the view. As we have stated, it is about 150 paces to the beach steps from the beach path. You do have to walk outside the garden gate to access the beach path. We strive to be very accurate in discribing the home and how close it is to the waterfront. We are happy to offer this site as a very, very, close site to the water front which is on the beach side of Shore Road, however, the house does not back up to panoramic views of the water.This site is as close as one can be to Lake Michigan without higher daily or weekly rates. There are no roads to cross to get to the lake. I am afraid to say, you cannot get any closer to the water in Union Pier, unless you own one of the privately-owned multi-million dollar properties that do face the lake.
