5 of 5 Stars---Great House! The pictures don't do it justice! Michael was really friendly and got back to me very quickly and got everything done in a timely fashion. We had 7 guys staying in the house for Jazz Fest. Was very doable and plenty of space to hold all of us. Neighbors were super friendly. Great neighborhood too! Short walk to the street car. Thank you Michael for your hospitality!!! You and your house made our NOLA trip Very Special!

Great House. Great Location. Great Owner.

House is well maintained and looks just like the pictures. The house is a block away from Magazine Street which has shops, restaurants and bars. Quiet neighborhood, nice people. Walmart is 4 blocks away and Bourbon street was only minutes away by car, 10-15 minutes by trolley. The owner was very nice, made sure we had enough information about our location and how to get around the city. A place you will fall in love with. Can't wait for our next visit and we will be staying here.

Excellent location, perfect stay

If you are looking for the best possible location and a very roomy place to stay without being right downtown (but only minutes away), this is where you want to stay. The place was awesome, had everything we needed and then some. It is located just 1 block away from super hip magazine street and it's awesome little shops and restaurants. You'll find a ton of good places to eat right around the corner. If you forgot something, there's a walmart about half a mile away from the property.

The owner was extremely nice, sent us a ton of info about the things around and made sure we had everything we needed, that the property was as described and up to our expectations. Having chose this place was by far the best decision of our entire trip!

Book it, you will NOT be disappointed.

Great Trip!

The location could not have been any better! We were a few steps away from Magazine street and a short cab ride away from the French Quarter and Downtown which was fantastic. The neighborhood was quiet, clean, and had ample parking. For additional parking, there are two off street parking spaces behind the home.

The home itself was perfect! It was clean, charming, and had a nice front porch and living room where our group of 8 congregated when not out and about. The owner included information for navigating the city in a couple binders on the coffee table and they proved to all be very helpful suggestions! Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as far as cups, plates, utensils, etc., and linens were provided which was a huge plus.

I would be glad to recommend this rental to a friend in the future!

Feel like a resident, not a tourist

We have stayed in French Quarter numerous times before and chose to stay in Garden District this past visit. What a great decision and at 1/2 the cost. Sitting on the porch with coffee or drink, you feel like part of the neighborhood instead of a tourist. Magazine Street only a block away. Street car only a few blocks away and a cab to French Quarter is only $10-15. Be familiar with parade schedules if any. Many roads closed during parades. We walked to French Quarter just to enjoy scenery and felt safe in this great neighborhood. Michael provided a lot of info for things to do and places to eat. Definitely eat at Surreys for breakfast and Willie Maes Scotch House for the best chicken. If you are looking to get pass out drunk or debauchery, go to Bourbon Street. If you want great music and great time, go to Frenchman Street.

I like to leave negatives since that is what people really want to know in reviews. These aren't big issues.

1. No televisions in 2 of the bedrooms. (But who's in New Orleans to watch TV)

2. Some pealing paint (But we were happy the place keeps its old charm)

3. You have to go through the 1st floor bedroom to access kitchen. Again, not a big deal.

As my 1904 property retains its original plaster walls (along with NOLA humidity), over time that causes our interior paint to slightly "peel" in places (a welcome vision, charm and mainstay to almost all NOLA/FQ bldg. walls) and I touch up mine occasionally. I provide a 42" Flat Screen TV in the Living Area. The layout of the first floor BR is also a common use in NOLA properties, and I am also very accessible to discuss any and all Property Info with any potential guests before they book. I Really Appreciate your Business! Plan to see y'all again on your next visit to NOLA! Cheers!

A great find for a terrific holiday in NOLA!

This house was just the right size for our group of 5 adults (1 couple, 3 singles). The house was clean and spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. The central location was also perfect...so close to Magazine Street, and a quick walk up to catch the streetcar on St. Charles. Michael, the landlord, was fantastic to work with. He is very organized and extremely helpful. He provided so much information, even before we arrived. We also referenced his thorough resource binder he left for us, many times (ie. tips on places to visit, things to see, places to eat). Michael and the house really added to our holidays!
