JJ'S Retreat Your New Mountain Vacation Home

My sons and I spent Christmas in this cabin and it was just amazing. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate the holiday. This cabin is all you could possibly want in a vacation rental and more. When we arrived, the place was spotless, and not only that, but when we looked in the cabinets and fridge to see what we might need from the store, we even found a bunch of ready to be baked cookies and half gallon of milk with a note on it (supposedly from Santa) telling us not to forget to make him his cookies! How thoughtful-talk about going the extra mile to make someone feel welcome. It was not only that that made us feel so welcome, it was also the homey feel and cozy decor of the cabin and the ease of the rental process from beginning to end. The owners were amazingly easy to work with. This cabin is not only stocked with everything you could possibly need for your vacation, but WAY more than you could possibly need. From kitchen items to firewood to toilet paper and laundry detergent - it was all there. I've been renting cabins in that general area for over a decade and have never seen a cabin so well stocked. The sheets and towels are wonderful and the upstairs bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable. I've never slept so well! My sons had a blast in the game room (they hardly ever wanted to leave it) and meanwhile, I was enjoying watching the stars in the huge hot tub. They even put up a Christmas tree and left the decorations out so my 2 young sons could decorate it themselves. We absolutely LOVED this cabin and would be happy to return again and again. My youngest asked me if we could move in and my oldest asked me if we could spend every Christmas there.... and we just may..... I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a home away from home in the Georgia mountains! =) You won't regret it........

We saw the ad and decided to contact Brian and Dale to rent JJ's Retreat. They were great to deal with , renting the cabin was a three e-maill process. We stayed with four teenagers, from August 6, to August 13, 2011 visiting family in the area.

From the moment you pull up you are greeted with incredible mountain views and a Five Star Rental. Everything and I mean everything you can thing you could need and what you had no idea you would need are provided for you. The kids would like a pool but the hot tub was perfect especially in the cool early mornings.

The interior of the cabin belongs in an issue of Home and Garden, with every detail down to the toilet paper holders absolutely exquisite. My father complained that my mom got to many ideas about what they could do at their house.

There are 8 places in Young Harris and I believe almost 600 in the North Georgia Mountains on Home Away. JJ's retreat is absolutely in the Top 5% of places you can stay. I am not kidding when I say plan your trip to the mountains around the availability of JJ's Retreat.Hopefully previous renters get priority in the future.

JJ'S RETREAT is by far my favorite cabin that my family and I have ever stayed in. When looking for a cabin on-line for the weekend I ran across JJ'S Retreat and thought this is perfect and when we arrived at the cabin I thought again this is perfect- it was just as the pictures shown. It was decorated beautifully, the lay-out was marvelous because we put the children downstairs with the game-room and we got to enjoy peace and quiet and the hot tub. The kitchen had everything you could ever need or want to prepare meals and top-of-the-line appliances. My mom and grandparents came with us and they enjoyed the wrap around porch to sit, drink coffee and talk. The view was spectacular from the back porch and you felt like you were the only one on the mountain but yet it was close to town if you needed to go. I would recommend this cabin for a weekend or even a week long vacation.
