Warmth, charm, and comfort emanates from the river rock hearth and gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, tile bathrooms, and overall total quality of the furnishings and decor. Outside, cedar and fir trees shelter the elk, deer and raccoons that wander throughout the 61/2 private acres. A horseshoe pit and hot tub are easily accessible from the decks. Conveniently located halfway between Ashford and Mt. Rainier's main entrance, make our home your destination for an unforgettable mountain experience.

  • The entire house is all on one level making it easy for older adults and children alike to access everything. Various sizes of beds make it easy to accommodate a group or family here. All beds have down or down alternative comforters, plump pillows, and lots of blankets. The Woods is a large room that features a cedar log king-sized bed that is lusciously comfortable. Wildflower features a double bed whose windows open to the smell of flowers in the summer, with a crystal chandelier for ambiance. Base Camp has cedar walls and 2 twin beds, with moss-covered limbs for valances over the windows. The Queen sleeper in the living room is a handy and comfy bed for the 7th and 8th guests.

Wonderful Cabin at Mt. Rainier

We had such a great time here. Everything in the cabin has been recently remodeled, and besides being gorgeous, it is comfortable and has all the amenities we needed. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub was very clean and so nice to relax in after a long day sightseeing and hiking around.
It was obvious that the owners put their heart and soul into this place, and I will definitely return again many times, as well as recommend this to others!
We took some nice strolls down the quiet country lane across the way, and also hiked down into the back of the cabin's property. It is nice to be so surrounded by nature. There were even deer in the yard when we got up one morning!

Nice house

It's great location and nice and clean. It has everything we needed. Our kids always ran to the hot tub the first thing after exhausted hikes. It was awesome to see the shooting stars in the clear sky while relaxing in the hot tub. The owner LaNorma is very nice. She was easy to reach and got back to us promptly with answers.

The only drawback is the doors of the bedrooms and bathrooms were making quite a lot noises when opening and closing and it doesn't provide a hair dryer. In general it's a nice place to stay.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: I really appreciate knowing the doors squeak and will take care of that promptly. And I will make sure there is a hair dryer available from now on. It's great when guests care enough to make the cabin a BETTER place to stay for future guests and let me know about the drawbacks!

RAMROD - Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day

Thank you for letting me and two friends camp out at Wildwood! What a wonderful place to throw up a tent in July!! And thank you for all you have done for Redmond Cycling Club. The Wildwood stop on RAMROD is by far the best stop on the entire course. It is truly a joy to be there. Thanks again.

This home worked well for Family outing of seven, including two teens. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the horseshoe game. great location, comfortable. The owner provided us with area information helpful for planning.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers
