ALOHA! Stunning views abound from this spacious and open corner loft unit, at the Papakea Resort. Located less than 50 yards from the ocean, makes this beautifully decorated and remodeled unit almost ocean front. Save and rent directly from owner for quality that you can count on when you arrive.

The Papakea Resort is a tropical oasis on 13 acres of manicured grounds, with a thoroughly Hawaiian atmosphere. It has the largest amount of land of any condominium resort on Maui’s spectacular Kaanapali beach, the only resort with two ocean front pools, two spas and two large 12 hole putting greens. Grounds also include three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two beach cabanas, tranquil koi ponds, lush gardens and 12 outdoor barbecues.

Papakea is conveniently located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world class golf resorts, just minutes away from shops, restaurants and galleries in nearby Lahaina and Whaler’s Village. Walk to the grocery store, delis and other services on the other side of Papakea and right across the street. Other restaurants are within walking distance just down the beach.

K-401 is the top fourth floor corner unit closest to the ocean. The K building is very desirable because it shelters the lanai and living room from the afternoon sun and is in a quiet dead end parking lot. An elevator is just a few doors away. Free parking is right outside the building.

A beautiful remodel provided new cabinets, granite countertops, tile floors and many other updates. K-401 was then a model unit on the Papakea Homeowner’s Annual Meeting unit tours for two years.

The entire first floor and lanai, has the cool feel of clean tiles, placed in an elegant diagonal pattern. Storage is abundant throughout, with extra closets and dressers. The owners continue to upgrade and maintain the unit EVERY year to sustain the quality guest experience. The latest major improvement is a Fujitsu tri-zone air conditioning system that provides three independently controlled air handlers in the living room/kitchen, loft and master bedroom for unparalleled comfort.

Soaring wood cathedral ceilings rise up to the loft, that makes this unit feel like a home rather than just a hotel room. Picketed railings allow light and air to flow through but children under 5 are not recommended, due to dangers inherent in the loft.

The K building was also finished in the almost $1 million dollar per building Papakea exterior renovation project in the summer of 2012. The project reversed almost 40 years of ocean front wear by repairing the concrete spalling damage, replacing all of the building railings, coating the lanais and walkways with a high tech engineered surface and painting the exterior. Papakea has never looked better!

About The Owner

Mike and Cindy are both pharmacists and have two sons, Ryan and Justin and a corgi named Riley. The Maui condo has always been a wonderful second home to gather the family since we now all live in different parts of the country.

Why The Owner chose Kaanapali

Maui has always been a magical place for our family, even before we bought the condo. While there are fantastic activities, we mostly just enjoy the relaxing Hawaiian culture, snorkeling, laying around water and dining in a variety of spectacular settings.

What makes this condo unique

Papakea is a beautiful setting for all ages. We bought because Papakea has the rare commodity of land. It's not a typical hotel like high rise facility. There are wonderful beaches in both directions and the putting greens are fun relaxation.

Unit K-401 has the added benefit of wide open spacing. The loft soars high up and the side window contributes to NOT feeling like a cramped hotel room. K-401 feels like somone's home because it is. Having a second floor in the loft just adds to the feeling.

There really are no words to express how amazing this condo was. It sits on the corner facing the ocean...the view is breathtaking. Many times during our stay I got up in the middle of the night to sit on the lanai just listening to the sound of the waves..so calming. And, Mike and Cindy are the BEST people to work with. I spoke with them several times by phone during the almost year we planned this vacation and they spoke to me like they had known me for a long, long time. Top notch people, amazing condo!! The condo is beautiful, the pools and jacuzzi/hot tub are nice and they have a putting green!! And you are just minutes from Lahaina. Perfect combination. We are already planning another trip here.

Great ocean view condo

We had a great time in Maui. Thanks from all of us. Your condo is beautiful with a great ocean view and is well stocked with just about everything we needed for our stay. Your information packet you provide was very helpful in planning our outings, thanks for that. Your new air conditioning system worked great and made our stay very comfortable as it was hotter than normal, @95 everyday. The coffee pot seemed to be missing a part so I called the # provided and another (new) one was provided the very next day. Thanks for that, as my wife and I enjoyed a few cups of island coffee every morning. Your beautiful resort is quaint, quiet, and is the perfect place to unwind. Did not get a chance to play golf, but my wife and i enjoyed the putting green just about everyday. As you state in your overview, you can walk to just about everything. Thanks again and as Arnold says, W(i'll) be back. Mahalo, Mahalo,Mahalo!!!!!!

Cool Unit

We just finished another trip to Papakea and had an especially great experience in this condo. The new a/c system was unlike any we’ve seen before at Papakea. There were individual controls for each of the three zones and their own high wall mounted units. Maui can be a bit warm in July, particularly at the end of the day when the winds die down. This really was a “cool unit” and made our evenings and sleeping much more comfortable.

Everything else was perfect too. All of the information, the door code system and friendly owners made the experience a true pleasure. We’d recommend this unit as highly as possible and will stay here again in the future.

Superb

This was our second visit to Papakea, which is a lovely family resort in a great location. It is within walking distance to shops, groceries, restaurants, beaches and a ten minute drive to Lahaina or to Napili Bay.

This unit was wonderful for our ten-day stay! The view from the 4th floor lanai was one of our favourite spots to relax and soak in the fabulous ocean view and well maintained landscape of Papakea. Some of the specific features which we felt applied to this unit were the well-equipped modern kitchen, the air-conditioning which was so beneficial to being comfortable, the keyless entry which saved always ensuring that you did not leave the unit without your key card, washer and dryer in the unit and free parking. The supply of a “recommendations” binder on what to do and where to eat, beach towels, a cooler and putters for the putting green were added bonuses. The loft and queen-sized bed with full bathroom was comfortable for adults as well as children.

Mike was indeed a pleasure to deal as he was so helpful and friendly!! We highly recommend this unit to anyone visiting this area of Maui. Mahalo for opening up your fantastic second home to us!

Great Family Get-away

We so enjoyed our stay at your second home. It was very comfortable and cozy. We appreciated all of the helpful information in your "welcome package". LOVED the keyless entry (coded door) it was wonderful not having to deal with a key.

We sure appreciated the new A/C units during our stay, the heat and humidity were pretty high and would have been pretty rough otherwise.

The location of the Papakea Resort was ideal for us--close to shopping, dining, and activities. The view was beautiful and most evenings we made it out to the oceanside to watch the sunset.

Since our last visit to Maui was 25 years ago, we sure did see a lot of changes but then we also were happy to see some things that we remembered.

You guys were so great to work with and it made our trip so much easier. I hope it's not another 25 years before our next visit.
