Two hundred-year-old, timber frame barn with stained glass windows in charming Bellport. Summer or Weekly rentals. Email for pictures. Enjoy your holiday in scenic, cozy, and low-profile Bellport. Two-story barn with central Air-Conditioning, wood burning fireplace, gas professional grill, connected to quaint cottage/studio. All together there are three bedrooms, and two additional rooms good for sleeping. Large basement with full height glass doors and windows on four sides--great for a whole gaggle of children. Stereo and LCD Flat-screen TV, great antique and modern furniture, and gourmet Swiss kitchen. Elliptical trainer with large bathroom in basement, including steam shower, and a great outdoor shower. A fleet of bicycles and a hammock big enough for two are included. Enjoy the use of the Bellport Library, ferry to the private Bellport beach on Fire Island (10 minutes)! Pick up some lobsters or go for a bike ride or walk down to the bay (five minutes), Great playgrounds.

Notes: The bath on the barn split-level contains a steam shower with built in seat. There are lots of windows, multiple sky lights, three sets of door walls that let the outdoors in. Very large side and back yards, sunken garden and patio, breakfast patio, barbecuing wood deck, hammock, outdoor shower, great lawn, wooden lawn chairs, park bench, child's tree swing, lots of trees, 10 foot privacy hedges, 30 foot wall of living bamboo.

Three grown sons with wives and children, one in Spain, another in Brooklyn and the third in Ohio. How to get together for a holiday week? This place was perfect for our needs. Lots of rooms and room, secluded but a convenient train to the city. Two international airports nearby. The steam bath for two was much used. The large, well supplied kitchen was much used(3 boys and Mom's cooking). Warm in the winter. I would recommend it for all.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

My family (two adults and two small children) stayed at the house in Bellport for a week in May and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! Dealing with the owner and his assistant was a breeze and every detail of the house was explained perfectly. The house was amazing! It is something comletely out of the ordinary and we loved every bit of it! It has tons of room and lots of places to explore. The gounds are wonderful and we loved being able to open up and entire side of the house to have instant access to the deck. Staying in a converted barn may not be perfect for everyone but if you're looking for a totally different experience, this is the place! The rooms are spacious, the house was clean and neat, the kitchen is a blast to cook in (loved the high counters) and you'll get a kick out of taking a shower in the claw foot tub. We even got to meet the very nice neighbors! The only tiny downside is that it's definitely not child proof so if you're going with small children, just be sure to bring lots of gates to block stair access! Even with the stairs, our two year old did just fine and we had no worries. Loved the entire experience!!
