This villa is brand new, built in October 2007, located in the Ko Olina Resort. Ko Olina is the internationally acclaimed private oceanfront and golf resort which offers some of the most pristine ocean frontage in the Hawaiian Islands. The resort is located on O'ahu’s Wai'anae Coast – on the quiet leeward, or western, side of the island, in the best weather zone.

The beautiful Wai’anae Coast is very much unspoiled "old Hawai’i" – with incredibly pristine white sand beaches and spectacular sunsets. The grounds of the Ko Olina Resort & Marina were once a historic playground for royalty. This is the place to enjoy your private, secluded, sandy, beach cove for basking in the sun, swimming, snorkeling, spotting whales and dolphins, or immersing yourself in a good book.

The villa, which has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, is beautifully furnished. The villa is 1,427 sq ft with lanai. It has an upscale living room and dining area loaded with a comfortable pull out bed sofa, large 47" LCD TV with DVD equipped with HD programming.

The master suite has a plush California King bed; the second bedroom has a beautiful queen bed; the third bedroom has two comfortable twin sleigh beds. Most of the bedrooms have flat LCD TVs with DVDs for your enjoyment. There is also cable television and wireless internet service available.

We stayed here beginning of January 2012 and the location was perfect for us with kids ages 7, 10, and 12. We were a little skeptical about the location being a ways from Waikiki but we became very glad that we were here instead of there. The beaches/swimming at Ko Olina is probably the best in Oahu for young kids and even non-surfing adults due to the wave breaks in each lagoon - if you want to do some boogy boarding/ surfing, there are other beaches around the island. There are all sorts of critters to check out in tide pools and in the lagoons themselves - sea turtles that swim right up to you and check you out as they slowly swim by... it's like being in a mini Hanauma Bay :)
You will need a car but all amenities are close by and once you've gone to Waikiki a couple of times, you will be glad to have a quiet, uncrowded, beautiful place to call 'home'. The resort area (in which this rental is located) is beautiful and quiet, safe and secure. Make sure you inquire about renting a golf cart while you're here because parking at the lagoons is pretty minimal and the golf cart is the perfect way to get around on the resort grounds.
The accomodations were clean and comfortable and a short walk to the pool. Frans (owner) was very accomodating and easy to deal with on all of the rental matters.

The price for the location and amenities was definitely a good value.

We had a fantastic time here and would like to come back again soon...

Our favorite place to stay on Oahu

We stayed here in November 2011 and loved everything about this place. My wife and I were on holiday with another couple and the set-up couldn't have been better. The villa was fully stocked and was located in a prime location. It had everything you needed to make it home. If you like to cook, make sure to bring your own salt+pepper, seasonings, or whatever cooking items you use most at home. I brought my favorite paring knife and garlic salt. Downtown Honolulu is not far, but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's Costco nearby, as well as a high-end ABC store. The villa was really convenient. We didn't want to leave!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

My (new) wife and I stayed at this Hillside Villa before and after the weekend we got married at Lanikuhonua. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations - plenty of space, tastefully decorated and with some vital necessities for a home away from home (pots and pans, washer/dryer, and plenty of supplies on hand). With Costco only a 10 minute drive away, you can stock up for the week and never have to leave. The villa is an end unit located at the far corner of the housing area, making it a bit more private and offers a small lawn on the side as a bonus. There are also 2 guest parking stalls right in front, which was convenient when we entertained guests. As long as it remains open, we will look forward to returning to this villa.

What a way to spend Christmas! This place is fantastic! Very clean and new. The local folks in the area are very friendly and lots of kids to play with if you have young kids. I'm a chef and my favorite thing is that they clean the BBQ s every day! Sit at the pool, BBQ, watch the kids swim and have a nice beverage, it dose not get any better. Will probably go again next Christmas. Highly recommend this rental.

We stayed in the Ko Olina Hillside
Villa last summer and enjoyed it so much that we have booked the same villa again this summer. We were offered an upgrade in a gated area also in Ko Olina but decided to book into the Hillside instead. This area is more like a family area (not touristy), quiet and just what we want!
Also just about 10 minutes away from grocery store, eateries and the movie theatre. Great to drop the kids off and pick them up!
Would definetly recommend this location to family and friends!!
