Amazing Bungalow in Paradise! Pura Vida.

This was the first location we stopped at in Costa Rica and didn't want to leave. The Bungalow was absolutely everything we could want in a beach property. The place itself is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room were clean and spacious. The wi-fi didn't work that well, but we also didn't spend too much time in the house with so much to do outside. The patio was perfect to hang out and drink coffee each morning. The cable TV was great also and we were able to catch a couple US football games!
The location is perfect. About 100 yards from the beach and with a beautiful grove behind the bungalow (didn't see any monkeys) but plenty of birds. The surf was great with really fun waves. It was never very crowded either. The property manager recommended a great place to rent a surfboard about a mile away - Nika's surfboards are a great deal about $15 for 24hrs and a good selection of boards.
Food in Playa Hermosa was our favorite of the trip with fresh seafood everywhere. Our favorite was Jungle Surf with fresh fish daily. There is another couple "sodas" smaller restaurants in the area that the property manager recommended and we really enjoyed as well. Great food at really good prices.
We also checked out Jaco, but can't really recommend that place. Really heavy tourist town. Prices for everything were higher than other locations. Not as relaxing and clean as Playa Hermosa.
The property manager was extremely helpful and had great recommendations for everything. She went out of her way to help return a camera I had left at the house. We were about 5 hours away in Arenal/Fortuna and she arranged a driver she trusted to bring it to us for a small fee. I can not thank her enough for that trouble and for being so honest as the camera is valuable.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and look forward to coming back! This was our favorite location of the entire trip even more than Arenal and Tamarindo. The perfect surf getaway.
