The Rapid River is a shallow, rocky river which meanders in front of the Lodge, next to the waterfalls. It is a great spot for trout fishing in the Spring. The river connects to Little Bay de Noc/ Lake Michigan, approximately 5 miles downstream. The river fluctuates between 6 inches and 3 feet, depending on the weather. The Lodge is located approximately: *6 hours from Chicago. *7 hours from Detroit. *2 1/2 hours from Mackinac Bridge. *1 3/4 hours from Wisconsin border. *Be careful when using Map-quest. Map-quest takes you to 15th Rd., not S.15 Rd, where the Lodge is located, 6 miles North of Highway 2, 1/2 miles West of U.S. 41, heading North, toward Marquette.
