There are 6 courses on Rotonda with dozens in the local vicinity. Bring your golf clubs, or hire from the courses and enjoy some great golf!
Great Fishing:
Rotonda is perfectly placed for keen anglers. With the coast and the coastal waterway right on your doorstep, backwater fishing and salt water fishing are available. For a relaxing few hours, there are good fish stocks in the waterway behind the house.
If you want to experience a day with Capt Jarrett Lombard who is one of the top local fishing guides, we can arrange this for you. He runs several flats boats and takes up to 3 anglers at a time and can provide up to 4 boats at any one time, catering for parties of up to 12 anglers.
The enthusiastic angler may well have seen Capt Lombard on the ESPN channel. He competes nationally in the Oh Boy O'Berto Redfish tournaments and his clients travel thousands of miles to spend a day with him. In 2009, he finished 9th overall after a fantastic season. An absolutely fantastic performance. We can arrange this for you, subject to availability, but we do need to give him plenty of notice prior to your arrival.
Baseball is back in town!!:
Why not enjoy watching the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The minor leaguers are the Tampa Bay Rays new Class-A Florida State League affiliate. In their inaugural 2009 season, they came 2nd in the FSL South and many guests enjoying a free night watching one of their home games. Enjoy watching one or more games between mid April 2010 and early September 06, 2010. Actual dates have not yet been announced. If you are visiting Florida earlier, the American League team, the Tampa Bay Rays have their spring training camp at the newly renovated Charlotte Sports Park. The season opens on Wednesday March 03 and the first home game is March 04. The Spring Training runs April 02, 2010.
