Come for a few days, a week, a month. Whatever you need from your vacation, this recently remodeled, beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condominium is the perfect base!
Prime Location: This charming vacation home sits in the beautiful Princeville Resort on the north shore of Kauai--a highly desirable vacation area. We are bordered on one side by emerald mountains with cascading waterfalls and on the other by the Pacific Ocean and beautiful beaches, one of them the famous Anini Beach, which is a ten-minute walk down a tropical forest trail.
Anini Beach, resembling the lagoons of Tahiti, is protected by a large outer reef, which makes for safe swimming and snorkeling. This natural exotic reef is teeming with colorful fish and the beach combing is unsurpassed.
Indulge yourself and your loved ones in paradise. While staying at this unit you will be in close proximity to the lush sea cliffs that tower over Kauai's picturesque Hanalei Bay, minutes from world famous Na Pali Coast, and within reach of Waimea Canyon--and many more sights and activities you won't want to miss.
Enjoy horseback rides to an 80-foot waterfall or a scenic ocean bluff. Soar over the lush valleys of a 2500-acre family-operated working cattle ranch on an 8-zip line course. Hike and kayak to hidden waterfalls. Marvel at the awesome beauty of Hanalei Valley from the Lookout, just off Highway 56 and 0.5 miles away from our home. Whether blue skies arch above or tropical mists dance around the mountain tops, this breathtaking valley view is one to be remembered.
Visit lovely Hanalei town to wander through quaint shops and galleries. Crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay is a premier surfing spot in the winter. This North Shore jewel is also a playground the rest of the year for swimming and canoe racing.
Great golf in a magnificent setting: Take it from the master of Golf Course architecture--'Golf doesn't get much better than here at Princeville at Hanalei' (Robert Trent Jones, Jr.).
Princeville at Hanalei features 2 World-Class Championship Golf Courses: Prince Golf Course and Makai Golf Course, making up a total of 45-Holes designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., to enhance the natural habitat of Kauai’s North Shore while providing strategic variety for golfers of all skill levels. Year after year, top golf magazines rank the Makai and Prince Golf Courses among the country's best. The Makai Course consists of three separate nines - Ocean, Woods, and Lakes, each starting and ending at the clubhouse. All three provide the golfer, whether novice or professional, with challenge and variety. Both Prince and Makai Golf Courses are within the Princeville resort within walking distance of our vacation home.
We're sad to have to leave! The place was great and fully exceeded our expectations. . . . Mahalo for the wonderful space, we hope to make it back sometime and would love to stay here again...
This rental is perfect for everything that you need. The location is outstanding - within walking distance of Queens Bath - and it reminds you more of a bungalow than a condo. Well appointed in Hawaiian décor, and perfectly equipped. We spend 6 nights here and plan to book our entire vacation stay here when we return next year.
We slept so well and had everything that we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and cozy, each with it's own air-conditioning unit. The living area had a patio door with screen that we could leave open and enjoy the breeze.
The owner provides you with everything that you need including maps, tips on local activities, places to go, things to see.. Jana stayed in contact with us to ensure our stay was everything that we hoped it would be.
We highly recommend this vacation rental and look forward to our return!
Amazing rental! This was my first experience with vrbo.com and I believe the bar has been set high! My teens and I spent over a week here and we had everything we needed plus. Beds super comfy, kitchen has everything, beautifully decorated and the complex is very quiet. We found cooler bags, chairs and everything you could want for the beach (sun hats, water shoes etc). all you literally need to bring is clothing and food. The washer/dryer was a great bonus for the beach towels that had to be done every few days. Kids appreciated the high speed Internet in for the evenings! Spent a bit of time at the pool as well that is only steps away! I spent every morning on the lanai sipping coffee enjoying the sounds of the birds. Thank-you Jana for the use of your fabulous condo and a seamless first experience with Vrbo! Lisa Striker
The condo was great and Jana is a very nice & easy person to rent from. We had to reschedule our trip from August (thanks to the threat of Iselle) to November. Jana was very helpful and accommodating. We were very pleased with the size and condition of the condo. There were 5 of us (2 adults, 2 teens, 1 kid). It's a very quiet community so if that's what you're looking for, it's perfect. We could walk to Anini Beach and Foodland (even rented movies from Red Box there along with buying groceries). We enjoyed Tunnel's beach and Hanalei Bay which you'll need to drive to but it's a pretty drive. The nut roasters in Hanalei has samples of all their nuts, don't miss it. Let your nose lead the way. We explored all over: the dry cave, Queen's Bath, and the Pools of Mokolea. We also went to Waimea Canyon on the west side and that was breathtaking, absolutely worth the drive. And we explored the beaches down south in Poipu. We went to Smith's Garden luau for Thanksgiving. It has really pretty grounds, food was fine and the show was awesome. And our favorite Shave Ice was from Hee Fat General Store in Kapa'a. If you're looking to save some money and stay in a nice condo within driving distance to a lot of cool places, look no further.
This is a great North Shore location for a price that can't be beat. The condo is cute, comfortable, clean and the owner was wonderful to work with. We have family in Princeville, but needed to make last minute arrangements for another place to stay due to a death in the family leaving many relatives needing lodging for the memorial. Jana was a gem to work with during this difficult time. To top it off, the location was perfect. For vacationers, the condo is a short walk to Anini Beach, a short drive to Hanalei, and so close to great north shore beaches and hikes. My only regret is taking so long to write the well-deserved praises for this place!
It is hard to add anything to those reviews already posted except to say they are all right on the money. Yes - Comfortable, convenient, tranquil. So nice to feel relaxed and at home after a day enjoying this beautiful island. Really nothing I could suggest the owner add to make it better. Great beds and baths too. Sure, there are more posh places with commanding ocean views. But at this location, at this price, and with Jana's elegant touches.... it's 5 stars for us.
This condo was a great location for seeing all the sights of Kauai - so close to some great beaches, Hanalei bay, start of the Kalalau trail - and nearby shops for picking up last minute dinner items at the grocery store. There is access to Anini beach about a 5 minute walk from the condo, but it is a pretty steep path down to the water - we did it once and then decided to jump in the car for the 10 minute drive to the main part of the beach after that. The condo is in great shape and is pretty much exactly as described in the posting and photos. There is an infrared BBQ that was super easy to use - we BBQ'ed a lot while enjoying a drink on the patio. The whole condo complex has beautiful landscaping and is well maintained, and the pool was very clean and in good shape. There is also a closet full of beach accessories for use (chairs, flutter boards, beach mats...) that was very handy. This condo was great value for a nice home base while exploring the island. I will definitely try to get it again when I come back next time!
Located on the north shore of the magnificent Hawaiian island of Kauai. About 26 miles from the Lihue airport, 15 miles from the small city of Kapaa, and a short distance from Hanalei Bay. The north shore of the island is famous for its spectacular ocean and mountain views. There are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy, all accessible within a 7- to 10- minute drive from Princeville.
