A couple of days before our vacation started, we received notice that the communal pool would not be available for us because of delays in the new construction. Upon our arrival we found basically a huge sandpit where the pool should have been. Since we had booked the condo specifically because of the pool we were quite disappointed. However, the landlord voluntarily offered us a refund because of this.Hopefully next year the pool will be done! The pool area has to be accessed via stairs as it is located in another condo compex above this one.
The condo itself fulfilled our expectations. It had been recently renovated with new floors, a new breakfast bar and a brandnew bathroom with a cool very spacious shower. The kitchen has almost anything you might need (except for a colander,- which would have been nice to have when cooking pasta) - a stove, toasteroven, coffeemaker, blender, microwave and full-size refrigerator.
There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed downstairs and one with a trundle bed upstairs. The beds were okay, but after a week we were glad to have our own, more comfortable, beds again. The downstairs has a portable AC, which we appreciated greatly but the upstairs can get pretty hot because there were only some fans there.
Upstairs the living room with sofa, tv, video, and cd player (there were even some videos and cds) provides additional space.
The condo is located off Bradford Street, so it is quiet. There is off-street parking for one car - something really to be appreciated in Provincetown.
It's about a 15-20 min. stroll down Commercial Street to the town hall, which we actually enjoyed because it takes you right through the East End with its galleries. 2 minutes from the condo is a small grocery store that also offers fresh bakery products and a deli.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting again next year!
