Thanksgiving holiday

It was an fantastic apartment. I was so worried about where I was going because I have never seen the apartments and there were not many photos. When I got there I was so pleased with the choice because the apartment was clean and well maintained. On top of that however, I liked the decor and all the modern equipment. The price per night was the best part of it - we got a modern apartment with great decor both in the apartment as well as in the rest of the building for such a great rate. It was the perfect location - nothing I needed to see was more than 10 minutes away from me and I loved the closeness of everything. Macy's is around the corner, Michigan ave is 10 mins walk away. I went to do some serious shopping and found it fantastic that I could go to the shops, buy stuff, go back to the apartment and be back out shopping 30 mins later. The staff were helpful and the look of the whole building is great. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and will be using the MDA apartments again when I go back to Chicago. It is a home away from home.

Great place to stay in Chicago. Clean, safe, nicely decorated, very convenient to everything. Nice little shop downstairs has excellent gourmet food, cheese, wines, etc. 24 hour mart right across the street. Restaurant on the corner. walking distance to Millenium park, metro.

Great Location

We stayed here for three nights with our family. The location is perfect. Close to train, close to shopping and parks. The building amenities were great. Nice rooftop area for relaxing. Movie room was fun. The apartment was nice, showed a little wear, but had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch and feel comfortable. The beds were not so comfortable. There was noise from the train, but it was not that bad. The concierge staff was not overly friendly..... But all that being said we did have a nice stay. Would most likely book again.

Great spot!

This spot is wonderful. It was big enough for two couples; having two bathrooms is awesome for getting ready for going out. Having the kitchen and living room meant we spent much more time hanging out with our friends than if we had had seperate hotel rooms. You get a lot of noise from the elevated trains but that's worth putting up with since you are right on the loop which means you can get to any neighborhood in Chicago without hassle. You are right next to the river, there is a Trader Joe's within walking distance, and there is so much to do. The only reason I am not leaving a five star mark is due to the front desk "concierge" people. The person I made arrangements with was completely fabulous, on the ball, and answered all my questions quickly through e-mail. There were two people who worked the desk who were very helpful and nice, but there were also two who treated my partner and I so poorly that I was shocked. I hope they go away or get a little lesson in diversity or something.
Aside from that, the apartment is lovely and the rooftop is a great place to hang out with its pool table, hot-tub, lawn chairs for sunning, etc. If you need breakfast the Monaco is just around the corner.

Fantastic location

If you want to experience Chicago in all its urban glory, this is the place for you. A stone's throw from the Chicago River, this property is in the heart of the city, and features superlative views from its rooftop facility. The apartment was clean, comfortable and efficient, and public transit, including the famous 'El' is just around the corner. It's the perfect base for those who like to walk and gawk at the fantastic architecture that makes this city so special.
