I have been to this cabin a couple times, and every single experience has been great! The best thing about staying here is how accommodating and delightful the owner is. Through the booking and confirmation processes, everything was easy to understand. There are directions to the cabin, instructions on how to obtain the cabin key and how to use all the appliances.
The area is in the perfect location, a short drive from the slopes and a short drive to the downtown area in the opposite direction. The cabin itself has been carefully decorated and maintained. It has a very rustic atmosphere that really makes you feel comfortable and cozy, exactly like you would want to after a long day skiing/snowboarding/hiking. Also, the amount of amenities is insane. There are all sorts of pots and pans, dishes, utensils, seasonings that you are fully equipped to cook anything. The cabin also provides a Nintendo with games, TVs, and best of all...WiFi.
I have recommend this cabin to my own friends before and they have also enjoyed their stay.
Love this house! It was so beautiful and amazing! Was great for the family and so close to lake and many other attractions!
We had a great time at this cabin. When we got there everything was ready to go. It was in a great location and I would definetly stay here again. I have already told my friends about it. The owner was very reponsive and easy to contact. My son has already requested that we come back and stay in the winter when there is snow. We definetly will be back.
Every season i try and go to Big Bear as much as i can but last year i had the AMAZING privilege to stay at this beautiful cabin for my 21st birthday and i had an unforgettable time with my family and friends! Everything about it was perfect, from the size to the decor and cozy fire place! I would highly recommend this place to anyone that would ask. I loved it so much im planning on spending maybe another birthday up there this year =)
My friends and I decided to go on a nice getaway to Big Bear. It was a well needed trip with my friends and boyfriend. We loved that the cabin was close to everything including stores, restaurants and the slopes. Even the interior where the living room was was well decorated and cozy. There were a couple of things that we didn't like, which was that first of all we tried contacting the owner regarding further questions and we could not get a hold of her. We even left her voice mails. Three days there and she didn't answer or contact us back. We tried reaching the property manager as well and she wasn't available. It was very unreliable on their part. We could have lost a key or maybe not have been able to get inside the house and there would have been no one to help us.
The house was overall clean and tidy but the master bedroom was dusty. The fan in there had so much dust on top of it that it was even hanging down. A couple of my friends and I could not sleep in there because we couldn't stop sneezing. It was very upsetting, two of them ended up sleeping in the living room.
It was an overall good trip but we probably won't be staying there again.
My fiance and I came here for a pre-Valentine's Day/B-day weekend celebration. We wanted a place to stay that was close to the slopes and one which offered all the "modern" amenities similar to our own lifestyle and a place where we could relax and be comfortable in after a long day of skiing. We could not have been more lucky to have found this cabin. This beautiful, cozy, rustic cabin has everything you could ever imagine and need...utensils, dishware, pots/pans, foil, spices, spatulas, measuring cups...everything you would need to cook a delicious meal and dessert. There is also a computer/internet and nintendo with games if you have children. But the most charming thing was that everything matches! Plates, silverware, cups, microwave, coffee maker, utensils...all red! This color scheme and all the decorations lends to the wintery, snow/Xmas season effect and makes you want to just stay indoors and cozy up to the fireplace. Besides the beautiful exterior of the property, the interior is what stole my heart and made me wish I could stay here longer. The cabin is immaculate and well-maintained. I felt as comfortable there as I do in my own home.
The cabin is located extremely close to the grocery store as well as both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit Resorts, which was ideal for us as snowboarding/skiing was part of our agenda. There is a shuttle within a short walking distance from the cabin that will pick you up and drive you to the slopes at no charge. The slopes are so close, you can see them from the balcony and the views are incredible, especially at night when Snow Summit has it's lights on for Night Sessions. After our full day of skiing, we were exhausted and there was nothing better than coming back to this warm, cozy cabin, cooking a dinner, and just vegging out by the fireplace with a book.
I must say that this has got to be one of the best Valentine's/B-day celebrations I have ever had and this cabin was what made the trip. A truly perfect and romantic getaway.
The owner is incredibly helpful and delightful. She provides you with all the pertinent information you need including instructions on how to obtain the key, directions to the cabin, and how to use all the amenities. From the decorations in the house and the care and maintenance of property, you can tell that she loves the cabin herself and you feel it when you open the front door. I would recommend this cabin to everyone including my own friends and family.
