Use of a canoe, bike or sailboat. Easy access to miles of public trails for hiking and biking with beautiful view of the Lakes Region. Crystal Lake is a quiet, warm water all recreation lake 15 min. from Alton Bay at the south end of lake Winnipesaukee or Loudon Speedway. Located in the foot hills of the Belnap Mt range it offers 100's of miles of dirt roads and trails perfect for biking or hiking. Crystal Lake offers great Bass fishing and an upper lake offers fantastic Trout fishing. The large flat lawn area is fun for ball sports including croquet and badminton. The cottage is set back and across the road from the lake. It is backed by woods and the parking is close to the cottage and off the road.

Directions From Boston: Take I-93 North to Concord, New Hampshire. Take exit 20 and Rt 140 Lakes Region, Laconia and Tilton. At traffic light go right onto 140, past McDonalds, Burger King, etc. Continue East on Rt 140 through Belmont and Gilmanton. Continue East on 140 one and one half miles past Gilmanton Elementary School. Take left onto Crystal Lake Rd. Stay left at the fork in the road and continue one and one half miles: past the Dam, the Park, Glen Echo Rd., Pine Circle 1 and Pine Circle 2. When you reach the Lake the House and Cottage will be on the left. The second house after the tennis court. A white cape with black/green shutters and a porch on the front. No. 363 on the lamp post and mail box. The drive way is to the right of the house and parking is in the back. Check in is after 3 PM and check out is before 11 AM.

Close to New Hampshire Speedway: Fifteen miles to New Hampshire Speedway!

Close to Weirs Beach: Thirty minuets to Weirs Beach. Ten minuets to Alton Bay. Nice central location for day trips to Maine coast, Vermont, and New Hampshire Mountains and Lakes.

My Wet Week

Cottage location was perfect, off the road, quiet neighbors and a place to dock your boat for the week. Only problem was that mother nature decided to rain most of the week. It was a great value for the price as well. Where already looking into going back for next year only in July instead of August.

Nice getaway

We were looking for a remote place to escape from a crazy urban life for a couple of days, and this place suited this purpose very nicely. The lake was gorgeous, and since it was the dead season of Mid-September, everything was serene and quiet.
The cottage was quite cozy, and though not particularly large, it was quite comfortable for a family of 4. Jean, the owner, was friendly and helpful. If we decide to spend one of the next vacations in the lakes region, will definitely rent this place again.

Quaint, quiet, and quintessential New Hampshire

My husband and I have just returned from our 5th year of renting this lovely cottage. We look forward to the relaxing atmosphere here and enjoying the sights and sounds of Crystal Lake. I love reading on the screened porch or sitting on the dock. Staying here allows you many choices of activities such as walking, hiking, biking, canoeing, boating, fishing and of course swimming out to the raft. This area of NH is great for outlet shopping, antiquing, browsing gift shops, eating at wonderful restaurants, or even taking in a theatrical play. For kids, Weirs Beach is not far away where you can miniature golf, drive a go-cart or even go to the drive-in movies.

Frankly, we come for the feeling that we are getting away from our usual routine and are stepping into the simplicity of summer in a quaint cottage on a beautiful lake.

Jean and Marty are very friendly owners who can answer any questions you have about the cottage and area. We highly recommend this cottage for rental.
