Beautiful, cozy , passive solar home is located in Angel Fire, New Mexico. There is plenty to do here, both summer and winter. The well stocked kitchen allows for numerous cooks. The upstairs master suite, with a queen size bed and single day bed has a private deck. The master bath has a step in shower and a separate jetted tub and double sinks. Downstairs, one bedroom adjoins the bathroom and has a queen size bed and access to the lower deck. The third bedroom has a full size bed. The kitchen, dining and living room are all open for lots of family togetherness. There is a queen size hide-a-bed in the living room. The roomy deck has a picnic table and porch swing.

The ski area is 1 mile away for downhill skiing and tubing in winter, biking and hiking in the summer. A hike in national forest is 1/2 mile away. The Country Club is 1 1/2 miles away for golf, tennis and basketball, as well as a pool and weight room. Monte Verde Lake,2 miles away has fishing and paddleboats.

Nearest Airport : Albuquerque at 150 Miles
Car: necessary

We are located about 25 miles from Taos, NM and the Taos pueblo. The Vietnam Veteran's memorial is about 5 miles away. There is live theater in Angel Fire during the summer months. There is also a balloon fiesta and several local craft fairs in the area. Music from Angel Fire brings classical music to Angel Fire at the end of August through Labor Day weekend.

Angel Fire is a great place to relax and just enjoy the outdoors. There is lots of wildlife around. The hiking is great. The stars are wonderful on a clear night. Our house is pasive solar so it is light and bright and stays nice and warm in the winter thanks to the sun. You can see more info and pictures on our website. Ski:

Our house is located about 1 mile from the ski area. We are about an hour away from Taos Ski Valley and Red River.

Golf:

The Angel Fire country club is about 1-2 miles from our house. There is an 18 hole golf course, tennis and basketball courts, an indoor pool and fitness center, cross country ski course and several restaurants at the country club.

The house was clean and well maintained. It is very close to the ski area. We got a glimpse of an elk after dark. I would stay at this house again.

We really enjoyed our stay in your home. The location is wonderful and relaxing. We needed this time to reflect on our life after the death of our son, and this was a great place to be. I knew we were in a good Christian home when I walked in. We fished, hiked, and just traveled around and looked at the country.

Ski trip to Angel Fire, NM

We just returned from our trip to your house in Angel Fire,NM. The home was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 4 children. The home was very clean and the amenities were abundant. We actually gave the 4 children the upstairs master suite and it worked out wonderfully. They enjoyed their hide-away from the parents and the noise was minimal. The location of the home is great! The neighbors were very friendly and invited our kids over to sled with them.
We look forward to returning soon! Thanks for sharing your vacation home with us!

Wonderful stay

Our family just returned from a week of skiing and rented this home. What a wonderful stay and home! It had everything you needed to make a memorable vacation. The home is located in the neighborhood across the street from the ski resort and made an easy commute each morning to the lifts. We can't wait until next year!
