Ground Floor - Private Grill, Steps to Pools and Beach, Large Patio

My first review ever! We had an amazing and memorable trip to Rocky Point at Las Palomas Resort. We've traveled to Rocky Point on numerous occasions, but our first visit to this property. And... We will definitely return! We rented in Phase 1, a ground floor condo and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The balconies were enormous - plenty of secure room for children/adults to play. The grounds were amazing. The condo was clean and had nice amenities! Out our front door, we overlooked the golf course and the Sea of Cortez out the back door - what more can you ask for? Our children, ages 12 and 15, also had a great trip. The resort was filled with families just like ours so they met many children similar to their ages to hang with and have fun. The resort offered activities for children throughout the day with movies on the beach on the weekend. And for the adults - volleyball on the beach and happy hour twice per day - 12:00 to 1:00 and again from 5:00 to 6:00. Adult beverages were two for one - two good margaritas for $5.25 and if there isn't enough tequila, they will give you a topper for FREE! Gotta love that! Las Palomas Resort is a great destination for everyone! The main pools were heated to a nice temperature - I would guess 86 degrees or more. The waterslide and lazy river were not heated and tubes are required, but not provided - so bring your own. The staff was very attentive, polite, and friendly. Just down the way from Las Palomas is Wrecked at the Reef - a fantastic toes in the sand beachside bar and grill where you can play ping pong, pool, or corn hole. We loved this place! And not too far away from Wrecked is JJ's Cantinas. Both a must when in Rocky Point. Can you tell - we are fans of Puerto Penasco. So what are you waiting for? Book your trip today!

Great facility with a spacious patio on the first floor. The owner was great to work with. The only downside was that because it was near the elevator, we heard all the noises made by late-night partiers on one of the nights. The second night was much quieter. I guess it all depends when you go there.

I go down to Rocky Point every April and October, and I usually just get any random room assigned. However, this time I decided to shop around in the owner's pool using VRBO, and I came across this great gem of a place!

It was nicely furnished, and perfect for a couple. The best features are the super large patio out front, with private steps down the pool area and beach! Also, being on the ground floor allowed us to park right in front of the unit and unload\load in mere minutes!

If you are not a fan of lugging your stuff down corridors and up and down elevators, this is the place to rent!! The price was well worth it, and I will definitely stay there again!
