The apartment is impeccably furnished with modern appliances and well appointed furnishings. The backyard patio has a very serence feeling with the water fountain gurgling in the corner and wild birds flitting back and forth to the feeders positioned near the apartment.
Karen is a gem. She knows her surroundings forwards and backwards should you need restaurant suggestions, suggested bike routes, and even hiking and beach suggestions. She was even available via cell phone one evening when we got lost in downtown Holland and needed driving directions to get back to the apartment. (who needs GPS when you have Karen?)
We were travelling with 2 young teenagers and having the nearby bike paths, tennis courts, and playground was a godsend for times when we needed some personal space.
The nearby beaches along Lake Michigan are lovely but you need to expect at least a 10 minute drive to get to any of them.
The apartment location is ideal. You are within minutes of vibrant downtown Holland and in the other direction, you are minutes from eclectic Saugatuck and Douglas.
Don't hesitate to consider this apartment. For the price, location, and lovely accommodations it is definately a bargain.
