This full-sized beach house truly has everything you need for you to feel at home while you are on vacation. Whether you want to get away and enjoy a relaxing vacation by the beach or perhaps you would rather spend your time experiencing all that San Diego has to offer, this is the place for you. La Jolla shores is the best beach in San Diego and has good shopping, restaruants and recreation. Just a one-minute walk will get you to the beach or use our cruiser bikes to ride on the strand. We also have boogie boards and surf boards for you to use free of charge. Or go all out and hit downtown San Diego for all its dining and entertainment, located just 15 minutes South. There is plenty of room for relaxing either on the patio or out on the balcony as you watch the sunset over the Pacific, or simply walk one block down to the waterfront for the most amazing sunset you have ever seen!

Notes: We provide all the stuff you would want at the beach, but not want to have to bring. We provide strand cruiser bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys and a wagon to haul it all in. Gated entry with a video intercom, keyless 2-car garage entry. The entire yard is fenced in. And we recently installed a hot tub.

Location! Location! Location!: Very close to the beach. Look it up on Google Maps, 8355 Paseo Del Ocaso, La Jolla CA 92037. I have everything that you'd want at the beach, but not want to bring yourself including blow dryers, beach cruiser bicycles, surf boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, gas BBQ, beach umbrellas, beach towels, cable TV, high speed cable modem with jacks in several rooms. 2 car garage and space to park two additional cars in driveway. This is a 3 bedroom 3 bath detached house on its own lot with a detached garage. Ocean view from the upstairs. Great place for families. Quiet safe neighborhood.

Perfect for us

My family and my best friend's family stayed for 5 days and had a great time. 20 second walk to the one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I wish we could afford to live here forever! The house was clean and lots of room to spread out. The owner obviously put some thought into what guests would need. Surf boards, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, chairs, toys, wagons to cart the stuff to the beach, cruiser bikes, etc. I loved kicking it on the upstairs patio and listening to the waves roll in all day and night. It was and will remain a special memory for me and mine. I would highly and enthusiastically recommend the house for anyone.

Life's a beach

We had a wonderful vacation in La Jolla and this beach house was a big part of it. It is a block from La Jolla Shores (in my opinion the best beach in San Diego.) The amenities included all we needed to take to the beach and a wagon to get them there. The beach view from the second story is wonderful. We enjoyed many a sunset from the upstairs porch. There were stores and restaurants within walking distance and a notebook with menus and maps. The house was big enough to afford privacy as well as making entertaining easy and comfortable. We had an “operator error” problem when we first arrived and the owner was prompt in getting back to us and helping us figure out what we were doing wrong. We would definitely stay here again and have already told friends about it!

Our Home Away From Home

The house had all the amenities that we could ask for and the owner called the day of our arrival to check if everything was to our liking. We had friends over the first night for a BBQ and it was a wonderful setting with the sounds of the ocean nearby. The next morning “us guys” tried surfing and the women went on a bike ride to Birch Aquarium. With many restaurants within walking distance, we had a hard time deciding where to eat every night. My wife and I called the owner the day of our departure to let him know to book us for next year. This was truly a great week and the romantic getaway that we needed.

Will Absolutely Return Again

I can't say enough good things about this beach house. It's literally 1 block from the beach (La Jolla Shores).

We were able to walk the kids down to the beach in the morning with no trouble at all (it took five minutes from door to water). Try doing that with six kids! In addition to lots of sand and surf, there is also a lot of grass to play in as well. You can boogie board (boogie board was provided by the owner of the house) in the surf and then play football or volleyball in the grass afterward. Fun, fun, fun.

The house itself is located in a residential neighborhood. We felt quite welcome there. The entire neighborhood is well taken care of. The house was clean when we arrived. There were plenty of towels and everything (toilet paper, etc.) was well stocked.

Even with our children, this place was large enough to accommodate us without any problem. There were eight of us and I imagine we could have added another 2-3 people without any trouble.

We'll be returning next year; We'll be staying here.

My sisters and I rented this house for a week. Even after making arrangements for early check-in, the house was not ready for us until 6:00 pm. Then we had to ask the cleaning crew to leave so we could get settled. The beds were not made, linens not laundered, refrigerator not emptied of left-over food. The house was generally not clean. The blender/juicer was plugged with mold, the coffee maker was missing a carafe. We spent our first evening cleaning and doing laundry. The owner seemed unconcerned.
