Gorgeous Lakefront Chalet

The chalet was very nice and had everything we needed. This house in particular has a huge deck (with a gate for the little ones), private sandy beach (with toys/lifejackets/noodles/etc.), fishing dock (with poles and tackle), firepit with seating (seems unnecessary in the summer unless you have kids who are dying to make s'mores!) and plenty of room (2 BR plus loft and bunkbeds). It's often a lot of work traveling with small kids but this house had a highchair, toys, books, games, puzzles, kids DVDs and everything kids need to feel comfortable. The huge deck and grill and nice furniture made it easy on the adults, too. It definitely felt like a home, not a rental property.
There really was no need to leave the house at all...except we visited the stables for the youth horserides (ages 2 and 4) and they loved their first experience. They went out on a nature trail on their own horses led by staff members walking beside. The public beaches were also nice just for a change of scenery and had swim docks with ladders for the kids to jump into the lake. We also visited the pool and rented a boat one day just for another experience. We were pleased with everything about Innsbrook, mostly the relaxing atmosphere, pretty views, and short drive from STL. This is not a party place like Lake of the Ozarks, it is laid back and very family friendly.

Our stay at the chalet was wonderful. The perfect "get away from it all" place. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all week, we just brought the food. It was so relaxing grilling and eating our meals on the deck. We also used the fishing poles, the fire pit, and the sand toys kept at the property. The Innsbrook area is beautiful and we enjoyed driving through the community, it is nothing like we have ever experienced before. We used the pool at the resort conference center and also rented one of their boats. We also went to a free concert at the farm house area(near the stables.) It was very helpful to have the map of the area when we arrived at the house so we could find our way around. We made one mistake during the week-leaving for a day to go to an amusement park, we should have stayed at the lake! Thanks to the Teagans for a wonderful vacation.

Our group of nine (6 adults, & 3 children under 16 months) had a great time at the Chalet. Innsbrook is a beautiful area with all sorts of things to do. We mostly spent time at the Chalet, but we did enjoy the pool one day and also visited the stables. The kids loved the horses and other wildlife that we saw (deer and turkey). At night after the little ones were in bed, the adults enjoyed the huge deck overlooking the lake. It was so peaceful. The house is stocked with a lot of useful items. We used the fishing poles and tackle one day to catch some large catfish (which we released). I would definitely recommend this place to others. We had a wonderful time.
