Most beautiful, best value, incredible find!

You can rent this beautiful place for weddings/ parties, and if you do so, you have use of the first floor: a large open area for dining & dancing. There is also a ground-floor living area underneath that main floor- probably the wheelchair accessible space. We didn't see the inside of that. That place would not have had the incredible view that we did.
The living area they describe fulfills the promise. Incredible. It's above that large open first floor; it's the only thing on the 2nd floor. Since we hadn't contracted to have a party, the first floor was closed and we usually had the entire, huge grounds to ourself. The owner/ supervisor lives in an RV in the parking area. We saw him occasionally, and he was very helpful and friendly- even washed our car! One night, he had a crew preparing the first floor for a coming wedding, and we get to bed early-- it sounded like a party below, and after being so alone for the entire week, it was kind of loud. That was the only down side.
Oh- we're accustomed to internet service, and since this is a "get-away", they intentionally don't have it. (It's not listed as something they have; just something we assumed, erroneously).
There is not daily maid service; it's more like renting a home. He thought it was an intrusion on our privacy to enter the living area while we rented it, but I'd bring down our garbage, towels for exchange, and could ask for anything. He made up the hide-a-bed for our friends, who flew in for a couple nights to enjoy this incredible place.
Nearby (convenient, but not intrusive) you can grab a helicopter tour or start a whitewater rafting adventure; a little further- but still just 1 mile away -- is the restaurant with the best local chef (right across from the West Glacier entrance.)
We tended to wake at sunrise and enjoy the park while it was still; saw lots of wildlife that way. Enjoyed watching sunrise over the Glacier mountains, from our bed.
It's a stretch to call it "in town". It's on a highway, lots of space between properties. You drive to everything (even the white water rafting place "next door"). This means it was remote. Great stars at night; wildlife coming to graze and cavort on the lawn at dusk. So quiet!
The thick logs provide a kind of natural air-conditioning. It was always cool and comfortable. Wonderful after a hot, active day to walk that stair to our spacious area, pull a cool one out of the 'fridge and enjoy the silence.
Thanks, Ron and Trudi!
