The Alpenhof Swiss Chalet will fulfill all your expectations for a fun filled vacation at Lake Tahoe and Heavenly Ski Resort.

Free wifi.

Each of the three bedrooms has its own updated private bath. One king, one queen, one pair of twins in the bedrooms.

The free Heavenly ski shuttle (stops in front of the chalet) so you can get to the Stagecoach or Boulder lifts/lodges in a couple of minutes. The shuttle runs by the chalet every five minutes during ski season.

Located right on the Tahoe Rim Trail for easy hiking and walking.

Watch for wildlife from the decks with their fabulous views. Five minutes to the lake and casinos. Village hot tub and pool are just up the street.

Designated private parking (for two cars) is right outside the front door so parking is easy even on holiday weekends.

TV with cable is in each bedroom and livingroom. Wireless internet in all areas of chalet.

The entire upper level has a dramatic vaulted ceiling. There is a livingroom with a gas fireplace, dining table for eight, and full kitchen. The kitchen was recently updated with new cabinets and corian countertops. There is a large deck, with a fabulous views, off the livingroom. The washer and dryer is adjacent to the kitchen.

There is a walkout lower level(only one step down outside) with a sports prep room and heated storage for your skis and hiking equipment. The location is perfect because the Alpenhof is located on the Quaking Aspen free shuttle route right at the intersection of Tramway so you can catch the shuttle going both directions to the Stagecoach or Boulder lifts both a couple of minutes away.

Tahoe Village has a year-round large hot tub available just up the street (with heated change rooms with showers). The community swimming pool is open in the summer.

Walk to The Fox and Hound Bar/Restaurant around the corner.

About The Owner

We are Cincinnati residents but wanted a great family gathering location for holidays. We love to ski, hike, barbeque on the deck all while enjoying mountain air and views.

Our address is 143A Quaking Aspen, Stateline, NV 89449 for mapquest (vrbo shows wrong location).

The Owner purchased this chalet in 2007
Why The Owner chose Tahoe Village

We fell in love with Lake Tahoe with our first visit. We purchased the Alpenhof Chalet because it is so close to Heavenly Mountain Resort (2 minutes) and the shuttle stops at our door. Panoramic views are fabulous. For summer, Tahoe Rim Trail passes by our front door.

What makes this chalet unique

All 3 bedrooms have their own baths so vacation can be relaxing. The vaulted ceilings make visitors truly feel the mountain atmosphere. Our sports prep room keeps equipment dry and ready for your next adventure.

We also have private parking which is convenient during the busy holiday times.

I just want to say thank you Deb for allowing us the use of your charming chalet. I was concerned from the pics that some of the rooms may be small and too confining. They were huge with plenty of room for our 3 families to stretch out and have some privacy. The location was perfect and convenient for our adult kids snowboarding interests. We loved the Fox and Hound just a few feet away. The 4 ' of snow made everything perfect and created majestic views from the various balconies. My 18 mo old granddaughter is in love with Buck, the deer! And, we, too, made a snowman on the deck with our 7 yr old grandson. Everything was lovely and comfortable. We will certainly book again when we come back to Tahoe. Again, thanks!

A true gem!

This was a great experience and we stay in various VRBO's throughout the year as we travel. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and gave good advice in local spots. The duplex was easy to find and though there are other condos near us, the deck was a great quiet space to listen to the pines. The bedrooms were all well sized and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. There were even a few spices and coffee. We were about 30 min to the lake and 10 to the casinos. We really enjoyed the views as we walked through the neighborhood in the mornings. Would love to come back!!

BEST RENTAL ON THE MOUNTAIN- LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION !!!

I would recommend this rental property to anyone and everyone!! The overall location of the property is unbeatable. The bus service literally runs right past the front door and is a very short ride to Boulder & Stagecoach lifts. The bus service will also take you down the mountain to the transit center for shopping, dinner, gambling etc. The property is only a few hundred yards away from the ONLY local watering hole “Fox n Hound” (which my friends I thoroughly enjoyed). Next to Fox n Hound is a ski rental facility that offers much more efficient prices than those at the lodges of Heavenly. Overall the unit was very clean and well maintained, included all the necessary amenities plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, extra blankets etc. I have already contacted the owner about making our trip an annual one. For the price and the location this unit is unbeatable!

great property in a great location

This is a great place to stay when skiing Heavenly. The condo has all of the necessities, with three nicely-sized bedrooms, each with its own bath. The shuttles run regularly and the wait is never long. Try and get up early at least one morning, as the sunrise from the dining table is spectacular. Also, per Debbie's recommendation, we tried the pizza at the Fox and Hound. It's close, covenient, and tasty. The rental place next door to the Fox and Hound was also a convenient source for skis. They were helpful and friendly. The Owner was very helpful in coordinating our stay. We recommend this property.
