Lyman Vacation Rental cottage

We just returned from our week in Maine and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it. The camp is exactly as advertised and was a great place to stay. If you are looking for a fun, affordable place to stay in Maine this is it. It is within a half hour of Portland and Old Orchard Beach so we drove to each one on different days. There is plenty to do at the camp. There is a row boat with a motor, a kayak, and plenty of fish in the pond. We caught several large mouth bass. There is a small dock to sit on and enjoy, but the best fishing is in the middle of the pond.

The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes, and cookware. Don't waste your cargo space bringing any kitchen supplies, just bring food and you are all set. They even have lobster crackers to crack open the lobster you can buy on the warf in Portland.

The camp has plently of blankets, sheets, pillows, and bath towels. Just bring your beach towels and you will be all set. There is an outdoor stone fireplace and a gas grill that we enjoyed. It was nice to sit on the screened porch and read a book in the evening.

It is a camp so bring plenty of bug repellant and be prepared to sweep up a few bugs every now and then. I have told all my friends and family about it. It was so much more affordable than a hotel and so much more fun, Thanks for the great vacation.
