A perfect two family rendezvous

We are two families who live in separate cities (Minneapolis and Chicago), and needed a place to bring our kids where we could stay comfortably for a weekend. Treasure house was perfect for us. Plenty of space, clean on arrival, and a well-stocked kitchen (we didn't need to buy spices, for example, and there were plenty of pots, utensils, etc for cooking). We were able to rest comfortably, feed our kids and spend evenings by the cozy little furnace for wine and conversation after the kids were in bed. There were deer in our backyard when we woke up, so the kids had fun "hunting" them through the snow. Lastly, the owners were readily available by text/phone if we needed something, which was reassuring (although we didn't need anything other than to ask where to leave the recycling). We are so greatful to them for sharing their cabin with us! We hope to return for another winter getaway as our families grow.
