Big friendly dogs are welcome. Laid back environment that is smoking friendly, outside.

Nature Haven in the heart of South Austin : Wake up to birds singing or go to sleep to an owl hooting, frogs croaking (in the wet seasons). Sit on deck and feel like being out in the country, serene private location but close and easy access to events. Best of both worlds --- have the convenience of easy access to attractions and a peaceful tranquil haven to relax and unwind.

Convenient access to downtown entertainment.: Located in trendy '78704', South Austin, can walk to live music, 24 hour food, and bus stop. Cool off in the famous Barton Springs pool, enjoy the hike and bike trail around the lake. Just 5 - 10 minutes to: Downtown, 6th Street, Soco – South Congress, Long Performing Arts Center, ACL Grounds, Convention Center, Bob Bullouck Museum, Capital, UT, LBJ Library, and at dusk catch the bats leave the bridge. This duplex was close to the heart of Austin and soclose to all the neat things in Austin. the owner was extremely helpful and fun to be around. I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to get away for the hotel environment. Comfortable and not too expensive.

our stay at the lightsey sage home was very wonderful. close to downtown but like in the country all at once, peaceful, relaxing and two wonderful and helping people who own it. we had a family vacation there for a week to see our son before he got deployed for overseas and louie and debra helped us out at a very important time in our lives. we will never forget them and if we ever get to texas again we will rent from them in the sage house. it is a very nice and beautiful home.

We stayed at this rental for the month of February 08. Very good location, about a 5 minute drive to downtown and SoCo. Very private, great place to stay if you have a dog.
Owners have two very nice dogs. Very clean. Appliances and TV are dated but all work fine. Owners are very nice and will assist you in any way. We would stay there during our next visit to Austin.
