The Getty Villa Museum is five minutes west, the Getty Center and UCLA are a few minutes east along Sunset Blvd. Drive north along Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu and its rugged coastline. Drive 45 minutes south to Disneyland, 45 minutes north to Magic Mountain, or 45 minutes east to Universal Studios.

I've had a delightful time staying in your apartment! Everything has been just perfect! It is so comfortable, convenient, and well-appointed.....I truly hate to leave! I've enjoyed the apartment, Pacific Palisades, Temescal Canyon hiking, the beautiful neighborhood, and the glorious ocean views.
Everything you could possibly need is here and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Lovely little balcony overlooking a quiet street with views of the mountains in the distance.We absolutely loved staying here. Easy walking to local shops/beach and short drives into LA or the mountains, whichever you prefer. We hope to be back in 2016 and will definitely book this condo again.
This apartment in Pacific Palisades was TERRIFIC! We were visiting our daughter in Santa Monica and it was the perfect location. Mary and Wes were wonderful hosts. We were provided with everything for a continental breakfast-fruit, milk, bread, cereal along with our favorite Milano cookies and a bottle of wine for the evening. This was a great location allowing us to walk to everything including shopping, restaurants, beach and the canyon. We loved the Pacific Palisades area. What a lovely town! The apartment included everything that we needed and was spacious and bright. We will definitely be staying with Mary and Wes on our next visit to the area.
We have come back to this lovely apt so often now, it feels like our second home. We will never think of staying elsewhere when visiting the Santa Monica area. Location is quiet and peaceful but close to eateries, shopping, the ocean etc. The apt is superbly appointed and we enjoy being able to eat in or out as the fancy takes us. There really are no negatives to this holiday rental.

We first visited our daughter in LA three years ago and have been coming back to this gem in the Palisades ever since. It is clean, bright, well appointed, peaceful and ideally situated for a variety of activities. Close to the village of Palisades the basic necessities of groceries and a variety of restaurants are well taken care of but it is also adjacent to Temescal Canyon for anyone interested in exploring the Santa Monica mountains and at the other extreme, only about 20 minutes walk to the Will Rogers State Beach and the start of the famous boardwalk. The Maggie Gilbert pool is just a couple of blocks away which is ideal for anyone interested in lap swimming away from home.
Of course it is also perfectly situated for trips up the coast, and excursions to LA's many excellent museums and visitor attractions.
Mary & Weston could not be more friendly and helpful. Right from the start you feel this with fresh flowers on display and starter groceries provided on your arrival. As others have said the photos of the apartment do not really do it justice as folk used to harsher climes we really enjoy the tranquility, greenery and sun on the patio. Although we have generally stayed at the apartment as a couple last spring our son's family joined us,in the second apartment with their 2 year old daughter. There were toys made available on arrival by Mary and in general it worked really well. It is only about 10 minutes walk from the Palisades play park .
We can thoroughly recommend this apartment for any single, couple, or couple with young children looking for a wonderful experience of Southern California.
I recently stayed in this wonderful apartment and couldn’t have been happier! I travel quite a bit with work (75% travel) and have stayed in many vrbo's along the way. That said, this is one of my favs yet. Being a female traveling solo so often, the location and safety tend to be a priority. That and proximity to a grocery, shops, coffee shops etc. This apartment delivered on both accounts.
First, the location: Their apartment is part of a multi-unit home/building built into the hill so you sit a little higher, above the street, with a nice view. There is a charming courtyard that is open to guests staying in the units. Pacific Palisades is just north of Santa Monica and is an easy walk to the ocean, the Temescal Canyon Park (highly recommend) and the shops/restaurants (grocery is about 2 blocks away). I didn't know much about L.A. neighborhoods before arriving here and during my stay have discovered that Pacific Palisades is a very upscale, safe and quaint community neighborhood. I run in the mornings and would go running into the Temescal Canyon Park. It tends to be busy with runners and hikers and everyone is very friendly.
The apartment: Love it! The pictures don't do the place justice on VRBO.com. The owners have taken every last detail into consideration and upon my arrival I even found a bottle of wine and coffee for the morning waiting for me. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer in the apartment which was very convenient. The living room has a desk, dining area, gas potbelly stove, and is quite cozy. Off the Master bedroom there is a small balcony shaded by a flowering tree. It was very clean, quiet and the bed/mattress was very comfortable.
My husband, daughter (1.5 year old), and I stayed in Apartment C for seven nights in September. We were very happy to find this accommodation and even more so after staying there. It seemed all our needs were anticipated. A pack-n-play was available for our daughter (the provision of which our travel easier), there were toys for her to play with, a high chair, kid utensils, a change table and bath tub. There were beach towels and a basket of beach toys. There was fresh organic fruit, fresh flowers, and a bottle of wine on our arrival. The apartment was fully equipped with utensils, cookware and even bathroom amenities (as you would expect with a hotel, but not a rental), not to mention laundry soap at the washer! The property itself is gated, so lots of space for our daughter to safely explore. We even had our own "stroller parking" area!
There is lots to explore, on foot, near the apartment, as well. We walked to both grocery stores, the playground, restaurants, Temescal Canyon Park, and even the beach (Will Rogers State Park). We also did day trips using transit, which stops within a block of the apartment.
Weston was very gracious and provided us with a ride into Santa Monica on our last day (we did not bring a car seat, but he provided one). He also provided lots of information (although there is a plethora provided in a binder in the suite) and tips of things to do and see.
We feel we cannot say enough good things about the owners or Apartment C, but we would highly recommend it and would definitely return in the future.
Many thanks for making our first visit to the Palisades/Santa Monica an easy one with our daughter. We made great memories!
