The property is located at the southernmost point in the Gulf Islands, near the U.S. border. The San Juan Islands and Mt. Baker dominate the panoramic view, which spans from the northeast to the south. Marine, terrestrial and flying wildlife add to the geographic beauty of the islands. Eagles, otter, deer and porpoise are common sights. Orca (Killer Whales) routinely pass near the property. The area is well suited for kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, sailing and sightseeing by boat. Land based activities include biking, golf, tennis and hiking. Numerous parks are located on the Penders, two of which are a brief walk from the property. Many interesting and unique shops exist on the islands, as well as numerous art studios and a vineyard. Musical events and performing arts are common in the community. The Pender Islands Community Hall hosts a seasonal Saturday farmers' market and annual Fall Fair, along with wedding parties and other special events.
