Additional Information:
Please contact us for our web site address and for more details including a plan of the house. We can be contacted by e mail or by telephone in the evenings if you would like a colour brochure.
The local village of Hazyview has everything you need and includes some very pleasant shopping precincts. All medical services are available locally. Holiday insurance is a must.
The climate is sub tropical which means winter (in June) is equivalent to a very pleasant English Summer. Summer is a lot hotter! The area is green and hilly with rivers and interesting countryside. The Kruger Park is only about 15 minutes away, or the Northern Drakensberg Mountains about 45 mins. The latter offers a total contrast from the lowlands.
References:
Our visitors book is full of praise for Sabana, Kruger Park Lodge and the area with all its interesting things to see and do. But what better recommendation can there be than the fact that four of Sabana's guest visitors have themselves bought similar houses at Kruger Park Lodge?
Things to Do:
Its tempting sometimes to plan everything in advance, but really we recommend you make your bookings for game drives, activities and your plans for visits when you arrive. You need at least two days to visit Kruger National Park. The staff at KPL will be only too happy to help with bookings of any type and we also have an excellent travel agent friend who is a resident and can sort out any longer trips you might like to combine with your holiday - what about a few days at Victoria Falls for instance, or a week at the Cape? Its all there and very, very good value.
Locally there is every sort of activity from golf to horse trekking, quads, canyons, fishing, rafting, balloons and helicopters as well as a traditional village with food and dancing, an old gold rush town in the mountains and wonderful scenery. Excellent restaurants abound and are superb value.
Golf:
The golf course is Gary Player designed and rates are very reasonable. Its an interesting course with a variety of challenges, immaculatley kept and which adds considerably to the ambience of the Kruger Park Lodge. Local hazards include gazelle and monkeys!
Other Activities:
Safaris, quad bikes, white water rafting, canyon jumps, balloons, microlights.
