Oceanwalk, on the ground floor, was just recently further upgraded with a great new decor, electronics (New large screen LCD TV, DVD Player in living area, TV and DVD Player in Bedroom, oil paintings, etc.)! New bedroom furniture (very nice white four poster bed, dresser/mirror, two nightstands, and a Sealy Backsaver mattress with foam topper). New Durapella, comfortable sleeper sofa in the living area. New tile floors (everywhere but bedroom). New tan carpet in the bedroom. Updated wallpapers. Fresh paint. New light fixtures. Oceanwalk sleeps four people.

Ocean walk sleeps four. New large screen LCD TV WITH Digital Cable- Espn, Espn2, Css, Disney, Nick, etc. DVD Player, New TV and built-in DVD in the bedroom. Two swimming pools- one is heated. We have a very private/romantic dining area right off of the living area which backs up to huge live oaks and natural vegetation. A washer and dryer are available for your use in dedicated laundry facility right nearby. We have a great Playground area for children. There is a beautiful duck pond with families of ducks. New Tennis Courts and clubhouse with state-of-the art weight room and life cycle/treadmills for your use 24/7. Ocean walk is located right down Mallery Street (the main street of the village- used to be spelled Mallory) - an easy, 8 - 9 minute stroll from the pier and ocean. A beach is located at the village beach park/pier, with larger beaches further north. There is a business center with Internet Access and Wireless Internet Access in the common areas (e.g. pool) across property.

St. Simons Island is ideal for a relaxing and/or fun-filled active vacation in a great resort area. Take a walk in the park where soft breezes blow fresh from the Atlantic ocean. Watch the ships off in the distance while the beautiful birds and wildlife abound. The oceanfront park has the perfect setting for making memories with the ocean as a backdrop and tables for memorable meals under the live oaks. Visit the Village, the Island's most historic area. Go fishing off the pier. Tour the cool lighthouse and museum. Many people ride bicycles while on the island- and you can rent easily- or bring your own. There are bike paths all over the island. If you like golf, there are many 18-hole, highly-rated public courses. There is a movie theatre of course. Take a scary ghost walk- hear the tall tales. The restaurants offer some of the finest Southern cooking anywhere in our opinion- and we are Southerners.

You'll find plenty of shops and reasonably priced restaurants, many within walking distance- located in the Village. Take home your own treasure from one of the shops. With a non- refundable pet deposit, we allow well behaved house pets to stay in the condo. Check-in and out is done locally, right nearby on the Island-- so come on down! You already have some friends awaiting your arrival on the island. Have a great time!!

Just Great...and Close to Everything

Just Excellent! It is so close to the pier, ocean, coast guard beach - as well as the village shops and restaurants (It only took us a few minutes to walk) The price was really great for the week - the price was half to one-third of other condos a little closer to beach. Owners were nice to work with and made everything easy for us. The bed is awesome, as well as the bathroom shower- the renovations and new furniture are very beachy and clean. Highly Recommended.

A Week At The Beach

My daughter and I just returned home from our week in St. Simon's. We enjoyed our stay ,and will certainly return.The new mattress was wonderful, and the bath was clean and very nicely done. The owner was helpful and we were pleased in every way with this condo.

I would not recommend this property for rental. Mildew in bathroom tile and under mat in tub. Hole in wall in bathroom from towel holder. Towel rod in bathtub area broken and not repaired. Cable on TV not connected to any sports channels. Not cleaned completely and thoroughly. Bed not comfortable, not for back support. Outside area from den not clean very cluttered looking with growth and weeds. Not enough area around table for eating. Further from beach than shown in advertising.
Enjoyed the St. Simons area.
Owner's Response: We take our guests' happiness seriously. We unfortunately did not receive a call from this one guest with any concerns whatsoever (Valid or not, or just a misunderstanding/knowledge of how to operate something as the cause)- otherwise we would have quickly addressed the situation. We will let the pictures (posted May 5, 2008) be the proof (Whole new Shower area, towel bar next to shower (not in it), bead board on ceiling/walls with no holes, new rubber mats in shower, new maid service, new dining table with ample space- if one perfers they can eat at 1 of the 2 counter stools, the new LCD TV has Digital Cable w multiple sports channels, new Sealy BackSaver mattress and memory foam topper, newly installed landscaping/weed barrier and marble chips- not to mention a discussion with the lawn service owner for the condos- the flowers coming up may have looked unsightly to some. We used google maps to calculate the distance to the restaurants/Pier/Beach Park in the village (we are on the mainstreet of the village)- less than 10 minute walk when we do it with a baby stroller. We still are keeping our prices low. Please call/email with any questions. Thanks!

We had an awsome time at this property at Oceanwalk on St. Simons Island.. As the name suggests, we could walk to many restuarants, shops, and sight-seeing areas. The condo was wonderful, and the owners were great to work with. We'd like to go back!
