The Fox Cottage has business license #23016. This architectural gem in the heart of Napa's Old Town is elegantly situated among other Victorian homes, has easy highway access, and is within walking distance to everything from restaurants and shops to a grocery store and downtown wine tasting establishments. Walk to Celadon, Cole's Chop House, Bounty Hunter, Angele, and the Napa Valley Opera House. Notable architect Luther Turton designed this group of homes. With gleaming oak floors, Egyptian cotton linens, pillow top beds, fluffy duvets and oriental carpets this home provides a romantic retreat. A hot tub nestles under the old redwood tree.

What a wonderful place to stay on our trip to Napa! Fox Cottage met our needs perfectly with plenty of entertainment room, large table, and abundant wine glasses! It was cozy and comfortable and only a short walk to downtown! We would definitely want to stay here again if we travel to Napa!

Great rental in wine country

We loved our stay! The beds were so comfortable, everything was very clean, we were close to restaurants and shopping and the owner was very friendly and helpful. We'd recommend this rental to any of our friends (especially over a hotel).

Spa Delight

Upon our arrival we were dissapointed to have to dig thru dirty laundry on the owners porch next door to get the keys to house which were left in the laundry basket by the cleaning service.

Trying to contact the owner was very difficult, we had several questions and she was unavailable the entire stay so if you need anything from her I would not count on getting hold of the owner.

The house was clean, charming and as described. The beds were incredibly comfortable and probably the best feature of the stay besides the hot tub.

There was plenty of space for my wife, me and our newborn son, having a spare room to setup his travel crib was great.

The house was located only a block or two from downtown napa and away from the highway to hit all the wineries. We used the spa both nights we stayed and the bbq which there was left over bbq supplies that made great bbq steaks.

over all we had a great time and the house was perfect for our needs and everything worked out.
Owner's Response: I am sorry Mr. M. had difficulty finding the key envelope entrusted to the cleaning service. I had informed him that I would be away when he arrived; and I give an emergency phone number to all guests for just such unforseen events. Since my home and office are next door, usually I am available to guests in person or on the phone. If your arrival is on a 1st or 3rd Tuesday of the month (as Mr. M's was), I am at city hall for City Council meetings. I can still check my cell phone messages, though - so please let me know if there is a problem!

As the firsts guests to the Fox Cottage we were very impressed with the warmth of the home and we just love the owner. The home has a terrific location and is well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable.
The Fox Cottage was a great way to visit the area and still have our own space. We really enjoyed our visit and cannot wait to return!
