My family and I stayed at Karen's house over this Labor Day weekend. It was wonderful. It is a nice 2 bedroom / 1 bath located in the historic district. The bedrooms are good sized. The master has a beautiful king sized bed and the second bedroom a very comfortable full sized bed. The main living space is huge with very comfy furniture. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. There is a very nice little fenced back yard. 2 adults, 2 11 year-olds and 1 dog stayed. All were quite comfortable. The house is located in a great spot - we walked all around downtown Orlando from it (Thornton Park, Lake Eola, etc). It's easily accessibl from the highways (we both went South to the parks and up north to Lake Mary and Apopka during our stay). Karen (the owner) could not be nicer or more responsive. If you are looking for a great central location...this is the place.
We rented this home for Jan and Feb of this year. This house has lots of charm and has become a favorite for us. There is a large renovated kitchen with plenty of utensils, pots pans etc. a stackable washer/dryer is also in the kitchen, hidden away. The bedrooms have beautiful furniture with very comfortable beds. Renovations to the house have provided an open concept to the living/dining area and kitchen.
A fenced in yard has a tropical feel to it and also has a nice grill for outdoor cooking. One of the nicest things about this house is its location downtown. It is only 5 blocks to Thornton Park, a thriving area with restaurants, shops and bars. Lake Eola park is only 2 blocks further and is home to a farmer's market every Sunday.
We are already looking forward to staying next winter in this wonderful home.
We love the area surrounding Lake Eola and downtown Orlando, so we were thrilled to find an actual home to rent for our annual Orlando vacation. The pictures and description of the home are very accurate. The house was beautiful and so comfortable. Everything you need for a great stay is included. The patio out back was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying some wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. Restaurants in Thorton Park are only a few blocks away as well as the great Farmers Market at Lake Eola. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this home.
My husband and I spent a month with our dogs in this lovely home, what a surprise to find not only were the pictures accurate - they couldn't do it justice. Love the yard, very private - great for our puppies - shade when you need it. Fabulous residential area..... groceries in walking distance.... nice little outlet mall for shopping 5 min. away... . great walk to Lake Eola ...... nice restaurants withing walking distance as well. It felt like home as soon as we opened the door!!!!! Karen was very accommodating & easy going ....... going back next year!!!!!!!
This is by far my favorite place to stay when I travel to Orlando whether for business or pleasure. I am always disappointed when it is booked because the alternatives, including hotels just are not the same.
Beautifully renovated property with lots of care and love. The kitchen is gorgeous and spacious. The back patio is very private and tropical. It's the perfect place for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. The front porch is a wonderful place to watch and catch the neighborhood energy. There are so many shops, restaurants and parks within walking difference.
I love this home away from home!
We were visiting Orlando for my daughter's graduation from UCF and this home was perfect for the weekend visit. We were in such close proximity of Downtown with loads of fun & entertainment. The space felt like home and made for perfect accommodations to host a little graduation dinner for family and friends. Waking up and having morning coffee or tea in the backyard tropical setting was nothing less than a perfect paradise!! The kitchen was state of the art, stocked with everything you could possibly need. The best part is that we could bring our pet and we are already trying to make up reasons to visit and stay in this beautiful historic home again!! I think its also important to note that I'm a south Florida native and was never fond of Orlando, THIS visit changed my mind.
