A Cacapon Mountain View is located in the award-winning Cacapon South community near Berkeley Springs, voted 'Best Development of the Year' by the West Virginia Homebuilder's Association. Ideal for an extended stay with family or friends, this custom built three-story chalet has four bedrooms and three baths, accommodating up to eight guests in comfort.

Spectacular Cacapon Mountain views await you at this year-round luxury chalet along with plenty of the amenities of home. Relax in front of the oversized stone wood-burning fireplace while enjoying your deluxe entertainment system, including television, complete with Direct TV satellite, DVD/VCR player, and stereo with CD player. We also have wireless internet service for your convenience. There is a Whirlpool tub in the master bath. For fun, enjoy ping-pong in the recreation room or make use of the 4 provided fishing poles. If the outdoors call, gather on the covered porch which wraps around to an expansive deck.

For your added comfort and convenience, the property is equipped with central heat and air.

Meals are easy to prepare in the chalet's full kitchen, complete with dishwasher, microwave, and cooking utensils, or you may choose to use the outdoor grill for barbecuing. If you do not want to prepare your meal, the lodge is nearby for a buffet breakfast, quick lunch, or a relaxing dinner as there are several restaurants in the area.

Your chalet is within walking distance of the golf course as well as the local lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. A game of tennis or basketball is also close by, as is horseback riding. Scenic nature trails for hiking, wind throughout the area, and in the winter months, downhill and cross-country skiing and snow tubing are nearby.

The town of Berkeley Springs offers a delightful blend of mineral spas, art, and antiques. Great view, good hiking, very comfortable

We were pleased with our visit. The cabin is very nice, with a better than expected view. They should take a better photo of the view and make that the first picture. We stayed there two nights. Nice fireplace. Big screen TV. Very comfortable. I only gave it 4/5 stars because we were a little disappointed with the cookware (workable, but basic) and there was an issue with some bugs indoors (wasps awakening for spring), but hell, we're in WV, what would you expect. FYI - The grill is a gas fireplace, so you don't need to bring Charcoal. Also, the owner, Sarah, was very accomodating and responded to all of our questions/needs quickly. Thanks Sarah!

Weekend Retreat

What an incredible place! Members of our nonprofit organization stayed in this beautiful home for a "working" weekend. We did work, but everything was so relaxing and such a wonderful view from the house that it didn't feel like work! We also found time to enjoy ourselves with daily hikes and trail runs through the Cacapon State park which was just across the street. We also took time to enjoy some massage at the spas in Berkley Springs. We are already looking at our calendars to see when we can have another "working" weekend at this great location! Thank you!

I originally visited this property two years ago with my family and we really relaxed an enjoyed our stay. So, when a group of my girlfriends decided that we wanted to do a "girls weekend", some where where we could really just relax, I remember the peace and serenity that I experienced at this property. Since we did not want to spend lots of time and/or money traveling, West Virginia was an easy choice. The drive was convenient and after spiltting the cost we each only had to contribute $60! The kitchen was equiped with everything that we needed to prepare the groceries that we purchase. Coffee on the front porch in the mornings, while taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains was simply the best. We truly had a wonderful time bonding and enjoying a drink or two, maybe three (lol) at Earth Dog Bar. I think that I will make this a regular part of my travel plans. I highly recommend this property. We had a great time!

Weekend getaway

Our family of 7 adults and 2 young children found this vacation rental a perfect place to accommodate our needs. The two spacious living areas (upstairs with the fireplace and downstairs with the game room) gave us room to spread out or room to all be together in one area when necessary. We enjoyed the many rocking chairs on the deck to take in the mountain view and fall foliage. When it got cool we took advantage of the fireplace to add warmth and atmosphere to the indoors. We were glad to be so close to the Cacapon State Park to do some hiking, and nearby to Berkeley Springs for a nice dinner, w/ a variety of restaurants to choose from. We were pleased to have been given a few extra hours on Fri for check-in and also Sun at check-out to give us the feeling of a nice long weekend. We would come back to this house again if we ever wanted to vacation in this area in the future.
