Our fascinating beach has a stunning view of the inlet lighthouse! Spend the day reading and sleeping under a our beach umbrella, enjoy tropical cocktails at the Tiki Bar or a $40/hr. swedish massage by Betty's favorite therapist. This 'boutique-style' bungalow apartment has the extra cleanliness and sparkle you long for but simply cannot seem to find anywhere else. Betty says: 'As owner, I am very personally involved in my beautiful beach bungalow retreat! Knowing that my guests are comfortable, that they know where to go for groceries or for a special meal overlooking the ocean is important to me! I take the extra steps and spend the extra money so that their stay is perfect and charming. Pillowcases are ironed, bedspreads are washed and guests have an assortment of fresh bed pillows to choose from. I know what I want when I travel so provide my guests with the same. In each of the three guest apartments you will find a copy of Frommer's Guide to South Florida.

This is such an active, unique and special area yet I often find my guests just hanging around the bungalow and relaxing. There is a nice laundry room.

For dog owners, I provide dog shampoo, dog towels, a dog bed, and dog bowls. (I have enjoyed the most wonderful dog guests!)

Dogs are accepted on an individual basis and must be up to date on their shots, and have had a recent Frontline/Advantage treatment.

Hi, I'm Betty. My husband owns a golf course and I stay busy with my four fabulous vacation rentals! We live only a couple of blocks from the ocean near Port Everglades. When I hear the deep blast from a cruise ship horn, I jump on my bicycle with my dog and we ride down the street alongside the cruise ship waving to passengers as they head out to sea! Saturday evening cruise ship departures are a big celebration in our neighborhood. This is a wonderful tropical area!

Last May, I traveled by myself throughout France for six weeks. I took a six star river cruise, enjoyed a brief stay in a Relais & Chateaux property, and explored for many interesting hotels and pensions. What I found was that cleanliness was more important to me than I had realized!

Those of us who are personally involved in our properties can provide this serious level of cleanliness that impresses guests. Things like a fresh bedspread, instead of one that previous guests used! Who does that? I DO!

I sincerely adore making my guests happy. I love making a pretty bed and putting out pretty soaps. I want your bungalow apartment to be perfect and cleaner than any place you have ever stayed! I seek to provide for my guests, the same level of excellence I seek when I travel!

Watch morning sun reflect on the ocean. Stroll through the waves coming ashore. Once you experience it, you crave it. Enjoy ALL the different moods the beach has to offer! Everything you need is provided. Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella and coolers. Fishing boats are down the street. Enjoy lunch overlooking the beach or amongst yachts. This is such a great area with so much to do and I can tell you about places most tourists don't find. Pompano~by~the~Sea is between Lauderdale, the Venice of America, and posh Boca Raton. Enjoy bistros and exceptional homemade ice cream at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, shop The Galleria, discover Las Olas Boulevard, or just hop around town on a water taxi. When was the last time you took a nap in a hammock? Shhh... you may hear the wild parrots above you. Enjoy showering outside and a BBQ in the tropical backyard. THIS IS TROPICAL LIVING!

Other Activities: • Join the Saturday and Sunday whistle blowing, bell ringing, lights flashing, celebration on the beach as the huge cruise ships depart from Port Everglades. • Take a side trip to the Pennycamp underwater national park in the keys, hop a water taxi and explore Fort Lauderdale, or take a fast airboat ride through the Everglades and see alligators in the wild. • Join me at New Presbyterian PCA Church close by in Pompano Beach. • But my personal very favorite escape is simply sitting outside on the top floor at the SeaWatch restaurant overlooking the beautiful blue green ocean and listening to the waves coming ashore. There is always a cool breeze even on hot summer days. In the summer they have a $20 'early bird' dinner (5 -6 pm) of lobster tails, prime rib, etc. and it is really delicious food! • Lastly, you and Fido can enjoy the fabulous new Pompano Beach dog park, right across the bridge at the golf course, and even take Fido to lunch with you outside at the golf course restaurant.

Each sleeps 2-3 and the entire Beach Bungalow can be rented together to accommodate a group. Calendar only appears full when all apartments are booked. CALL! There is no agent... I (Betty) answer my phone. My goal is for you to have exceptionally great 'forever memories' to take home with you. Our guests are valued and treated with respect and questions answered truthfully. Betty's Boutique Beach Bungalow is a properly licensed vacation rental and in operation since 2006. We take your plans seriously and your trust is of great value to us. We have received all five star reviews for six years. There is no automatic upfront cleaning fee. We only ask our guests leave the kitchen the way they found it

  • 'FIVE STAR CLEAN' ! Hard to find even at the best hotels. We don't just clean the toilet, we 'polish' the toilet. Shower walls and floors are always washed down with Clorox. We never cut corners even in a hurry. We bet you'll agree this is important to total vacation relaxation. Your bathroom is designer stone tile with Kohler fixtures and faucets. You'll find a generous supply 'start up' cleaning products including small white cleaning towels, paper towels, soft scrub, Spic N Span, clorox and multi-purpose Windex. A hair dryer is provided as well as an iron and small ironing board.

  • I know the level of comfort and cleanliness that I demand when I travel, so I provide the same for my guests. The apartment is high-end beach themed with tropical plants and flowers, sea shells and genuine sea glass to enjoy! High thread count sheets and an array of fresh bed pillows to choose from. Enjoy a heated swimming pool close by. What does 'Five Star Clean' mean? It means there is no dust (or sand) under or behind your bed, it means a fresh mattress pad and bed spread for every new guest (not once a month like hotels), it means REALLY CLEAN towels and wash clothes, it means 100% fully sanitized toilet (cleaned by hand / not brush), fully washed shower walls, fresh throw rugs, no unwanted bugs, and it means if you pull out the stove or oven you'll find it spotless.... so all combined when you can come in, you can feel great and say 'Ahhhh... yes indeed, it IS time to relax!'

You'll usually find a generous supply of 'start up' supplies which include a small coffee, sweeteners, spices, sponges, glass cleaner, liquid dish detergent, paper towels and various other cleaning supplies and kitchen goodies! As well as an endless supply of fresh white cleaning towels should you need them for any use, even your car. Your kitchen has designer stone, Kohler fixtures, a high-end toaster oven, a microwave, blender, Kitchen Aide cookware and other nice culinary equipment. The tropical backyard has an outdoor shower, hammock, outdoor charcoal grill and twinkle lights in the trees! Why not make a pitcher of tropical drinks and grill out? The lovely front apartment has the added charm of a large screened in porch with extra comfortable porch furniture and artsy fish on the wall. It takes less then five minutes from your front door until your feet are in the ocean. A separate laundry room provides an excellent washer, dryer and small dog bathing tub.

HIDDEN HAVEN!!!

I cannot even find the words to describe my stay at Walk on the Beach. We found this oasis through a friend who referred us to Betty the owner, now a dear friend. Betty was on-site when we arrived, working hard on her beautiful property. You feel like you have entered shangri-la. Just a peaceful beautiful place which you can tell every detail was cared for with love. For me it brought a much needed healing as I had recently lost my beloved mother to cancer. It was a retreat that brought calm and peace. All my stress ,melted away upon entering Walk on the Beach. Betty is a wealth if information for all the special little hidden places to go like The Galley and quaint waterfront restaurant for Breakfast and Sea Watch which looks out on the ocean for lunch. (I personally loved staying in the guest house as it was so quaint and comforting. We stayed in the 1 bedroom and I never wanted to leave the room. SO CLEAN AND SUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL!! We will be keeping Betty busier then she's ever been as we hesitantly are sharing our new little home away from home with our friends. (We want to make sure she's not so booked out that we get shut out of our tropical haven ) :) We love Betty, Walk on the Beach and the many years to come that we will be revisiting our new special place. Thank you Betty for pouring your heart in to giving us such a special place to heal, laugh. have fun and be at peace! Love Sherry and Elvis.

Owner's Response: Thank you to Sherry and Elvis who pulled me out of the hot sun and Tropical backyard to SeaWatch for blackened grouper. The outside shower certainly came in handy! Even as a resident I still find it pretty cool to be able to walk into a restaurant with wet hair and sit outside. How fortunate to meet such precious people as Sherry and Elvis! Indeed we have not stopped talking since they were here! Elvis is a wealth of advanced internet operation intelligence and Sherry, well, I simply can't wait to see her again! Special people indeed.

Soothing For The Soul!

Betty's Boutique Beach Bungalow was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend get-a-way! The cottage was so inviting and immaculate...Betty is not kidding about its cleanliness! With the exception of the grocery store and the beach, we never left the property! Betty's attention to detail is second to none, and we loved every accent in the cottage. The tropical oasis in the backyard provided calmness and serenity from our daily work routines. Let's just say it didn't take much time to relax! The beach was beautiful and not filled with tourists, which made us feel like we were really on vacation. Betty provided our towels and a even a rolling cooler to make our 4 minute walk even easier. The days were beautiful, but the rains moved in late afternoon, so we were lucky that Betty had the cottage kitchen fully loaded with everything we needed for cooking and shaking up a few drinks for happy hour! While heavy rains were pouring down, we were nice and cozy on the screened porch, where we sat for hours chatting and playing games.

Betty checked in on us often, making sure we had everything we needed, and was ALWAYS available for questions. While we did not get to meet her, we hope we can enjoy her company during our next visit. For a peaceful and little slice of Florida heaven, you need to stay here! We will be back!

I try to make it a nice place for nice people and these delightful gals certainly fit the bill! The Bungalow has hosted quite a few fun "ladies escapes"!
It IS a great place for friends to laugh and have cocktails in the tropical backyard! You don't have to worry about being too loud or bothering anyone
because the tropical backyard is set so far back and it is quiet there.
Last May I took a UNIWORLD Boutique River Cruise in France. The cleanliness and service on UNIWORLD was beyond absolutely amazing!!!
So that is my standard and example of what a "get-a-way" should be!
Ladies should take advantage of my favorite massage therapist (who also works for a chiropractor) and the special rate they give me of $40 per hour! TWO hours for $80. and the best deep tissue massage you'll find anywhere! I love to see gals come here to escape and relax!

The Best Kept Secret in Pompano Beach

This was our second year. We were in a different unit this year. All three rentals are amazing. Betty herself is amazing - unobtrusive and thoughtful. Each place is tastefully and completely decorated. She buys only high-end stuff and everything is as clean as can be. There is a luscious sanctuary out back, beautifully landscaped, with comfortable chairs and the best hammock, and it's quiet and peaceful. We never heard a cell phone or car horn. Betty, who resides in Ft. Lauderdale, comes by to clean the units as people check in and out. It's good to catch up with her because she will fill you in on the nicest restaurants and shops if you ask her.
Recommended for:  Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Oh did we have fun! This fantastic couple who are serious beach addicts, announced "party!" one night and had everyone in the backyard laughing and drinking frozen pink cocktails. I hated to see them leave!

Great Place!!!

We stayed in the efficiency for 5 days. It was very neat, clean, and organized. It is a short walk to the beach and the back yard is a great place to relax. Betty is an awesome Christian woman and we enjoyed spending some time with her. The other neat thing was the other tenants that were there during our stay, they were welcoming and fun to be around. I plan on coming back some day.

As I receive this review, I am on vacation myself and experiencing what it is like to be a guest. I overheard the ski resort cleaning gal say... if it smells clean it is clean ....and they spray Lysol all over everything... argh!!!! I just about died. I am a nook and cranny person myself! If it IS clean... it is clean. And apart from having "places" to put things to feel organized, true cleanliness really is most important.

Amazing place to stay

Amazing, immaculate, and comfortable are just a few words to describe this vacation spot...My husband and I arrived at the Betty's Boutique Beach Bungalow on February 7, and checked out on February 13, 2013. From the moment we opened the door we were in love with this place... It was beyond immaculate not a speck of dust to be found anywhere. Betty was the best very warm and friendly. The tropical yard was fabulous, we enjoyed our afternoon glass of wine and cheese out there, as well as socializing with the renters in the other unit.. The unit had everything you needed in it.It truly deserves even more than a 5 star rating...Don't think twice about booking this amazing spot....My husband and I are still dreaming about it and wish we were still there,,, Thanks for everything Betty can't wait to come back...

Kathy actually made some embroidered towels that said "Purple Seashell" on them for the efficiency. Thanks Kathy... my future guests will enjoy them.
